This review is not saying the product isn't worth a try, it is me saying it did not work for my hair texture. Maybe this is more suited for another texture, but it did nothing for me. While applying, you can tell there is no "stickiness" whatsoever as you rub it in palm of hands, or apply to hair....and a gel ought to be sticky...how else can it shape and keep shape ? I am always trying new things, and this is very affordable, but definitely NOT for my horse hair like texture. I am of mixed descent...German (generally have fine blonde hair), Italian (generally have thick black curly hair) and Turkish (generally have VERY THICK black wavy hair) ...and so, I ended up with the best (and worst) of all 3🤣. I have very thick, coil shaped curly hair, and even though I get it layered and thinned out with a razor every 3 months, I have an over abundance of hair, which would be enough for 3 people.....but my hair has a mind of its own🙄. Do not misunderstand me, I absolutely LOVE my hair, but it is a lot of work and takes styling products up to the task to keep those coils bouncy and in shape. This product did neither for me. Again, this does NOT mean it is not a good product...it is just not the right one for me. For ease of application, scent and packaging I gave it a 4 star....but I cannot give it 5 for obvious reasons. Try it and see if it works for you....I hope it does, bc it is really reasonably priced, and matches everything but the actual task at hand -for me, that is. I appreciate the reviews left by others it is what made me try it ...so many thanks. I gave it to a friend whim is of African American decent, and I hope it will rock for her ❤️
