Small Digital Alarm Clock Battery Operated, Cordless, Travel Alarm Clock, Brightness Adjustable, 12/24Hr

This little clock (and yes, I did! check the spelling of that word many times), has given me a little bit of joy in my life. Being GenX, I grew up in the time of Atari 2600s, Casio LCD watches, and LED bedside alarm clocks. So for someone to finally make an LED display from my youth, that does not require a mains connection, is fantastic. Being able to have a permanently illuminated bedside clock in a room with no nearby wall socket, has brought back a little reminder of the 80's, along with the ability to see the time in pitch darkness, without having to find a backlight button. The clock itself is good quality, but as others have stated, the display is just! bright enough in daylight. In a particularly bright room, I do not think this clock would be viewable. But I bought it specifically for night use, and for that it is perfect. There are three brightness settings, but the difference between the three is almost imperceivable. You need to set the clock to the slightly higher setting, and just leave it here. Because the brightest setting is still rather dim, the clock does not switch brightness at night, like an electric model would do. It just remains on the same setting, obviously trying to squeeze out as much run time from the AA batteries as possible. If you are a fellow GenXer, and had one of these clocks in your youth, think of the brightness they used to drop to at night, and that is the brightness this little clock runs at all the time. For a night time bedside alarm clock, or just a bedroom night clock, this is utterly fantastic. If you are from GenX, this little clock will help you remember a time when we had better gadgets from Japan instead of China. Better cars, and the only 'social media' was sitting having a laugh with a huge group of friends in the pub.

Bought this to replace an old digital clock that was far too bright, ran fast and always reset in a power cut regardless of a backup battery. This was a great buy, a really nice size and I love the different brightness settings. It keeps the time perfectly and has lasted just over 7 months on a pair of 'Energiser Alkaline Power' batteries before needing them replaced. I can't comment on the alarm function as I don't use it, I just keep the clock on my bedside table so I can see it when I wake during the night. The display doesn't show up that well on very sunny days, but for all the sunny days we get here it's not a problem for me.

We went for this more expensive alarm clock due to the reviews.. Excellent clock for standing on a shelf on the caravan, not too bright, but easy to see what time it is.

I have been looking for a bedroom clock for a long time and this fits the bill. It's powered by just two AA batteries and is dimmable at night so it doesn't light the room up and is simple to setup. Nice display and very portable. I do recommend this clock.

I can not describe how really really happy I am with this LED Alarm Clock. First of all, I already have a really nice battery operated alarm clock - the simple to use kind that you just turn the button/knob at the back to set the time and a separate button/knob to set the alarm. Easy to use and change time &/or alarm when needed. However I struggle to make out the time at night without turning on my torch, so just wanted something that I could use to see the time at night without having to use my torch. I did a lot of searching to find the right one, as I didn't need to use it as an alarm or to see the date etc, just the time if I woke in the middle of the night. I earmarked several different ones, but kept coming back to this one - Timegyro Chaorong LED Alarm Clock. Many I Looked at which indeed were cheaper, often couldn't be seen from an angle or from a different height to where it was to be placed and there were other things I was unsure would be suitable after reading all the reviews . So in the end having come back to this one after several days of searching, I decided to purchase it. I am so glad I did take the plunge and spend a bit more then I intended to as I could not be more pleased. The size is perfect and the time is very easy to read, from any angle and even from a distance when I put it across the room, even without my glasses on. I would point out that I only wanted this for night time viewing so as others have said, it may not be that suitable for someone who wants it in their bright daytime living room. Delivery was nice and speedy and I found it easy to use the instructions to set the clock. For what I wanted - a very easy to read battery operated clock for night time use - I could not have chosen anything better. Very very happy indeed.

Still very bright at night, bought adhesive filter to reduce which certainly worked. However it gains time very quickly, currently 5 minutes over a couple of days which requires resetting, bit annoying and unacceptable. Had I not had to buy the filter to reduce the brightness it would be sent back

I bought this alarm clock in June 2020 and put in a fresh pair of supermarket branded AA batteries. Just now eight going on nine months later has the low battery light started flashing. I think that's pretty good The clock is a neat little unit and easy to operate, no confusing button operations to set it. Cancelling the alarm tone just requires you to press any button. No need to precisely target a single button half asleep in the dark. The display has brightness settings and I like that "Dim" actually is dim and doesn't distractingly light up the entire bedroom at night. Timekeeping is ok too. I find mine ends up being about a minute slow after a month or two. To me the only small negative is that the item is narrow and back heavy with the batteries so I find it is easily knocked over backwards. Not a biggie though.

Disappointed with this clock, because after installing batteries, the numbers were hardly visible, even after buying new batteries to try and turning the brightness setting to the highest. Ended up returning for a refund.

Works great, tiny and lightweight. I have it in the family room (which is generally fairly dark) and it can be easily seen at a distance even on the dimmest setting (which honestly isn't much dimmer than the brightest setting). I think the complaints about not seeing it well are when the clock is in direct light or under very bright lights. When brighter light hits the display the entire screen seems to glow red and makes it difficult to see the numbers. I don't have any issues with the blinds open on a sunny day, but the sunlight never hits the clock directly. In most indoor settings I imagine this will work well. In a bedroom or darker room, it will be what you need. I liked this clock so much I just ordered another one for in the basement. [Edit: bought the clock at the end of Feb and didn't have to change the batteries until the end of September...so great battery life added to the list of things I like.]

Très contente de mon achat fonctionne avec 2 piles seulement et facile à régler avec les boutons sur le dessus....Je l ai acheté pour emmener en vacances c'est le reveil idéal car il est léger ! ni trop petit ni trop grand ! on peut même l utiliser tous les jours car il est joli et ne prend pas de place sur une table de nuit. très bien pour un enfant je vais en acheter un autre pour mon fils !

This is great for cruises. Clear - nice size -alarm. We use on our cruises. Last time we used magnetic hooks to hold it to ceiling so we could read it while laying in bed. (Did not have to sit up in bed to read it).
