I put this heat exchanger on my car to use as an engine oil cooler and it is working great so far. I am running the oil through one side of this heat exchanger and coolant through the other side. So far so good, the oil temp is staying within a couple of degrees of coolant temp and there are no leaks, so I am very pleased. The other thing I like about this heat exchanger is that it came with the ports covered to keep debris out during shipping. I flushed the heat exchanger out with acetone before I installed it to ensure that there was no debris or metal particles in it, and it was perfectly clean.

Purchased this heat exchanger to heat the water going into the hot water heater. The exchanger works very well as our wood burner is normally set at 180 degrees. The 26 plate exchanger is a bit much though for our family of 3. The water from the water heater get extremely hot. When the boiler is heating the water for the water heater, the furnace does not get as hot as when the hot water from the boiler is going straight to the furnace. The heat exchanger is easy to install. Our hot water heater has not used any electricity since the heat exchanger has been installed. Well worth the money.

It sits on top of a new wood burning stove that reaches 500F on the surface, a timer is connected to a circular pump for floor heating pipe buried in concrete. Pump on for 2 minutes, off for 20 minutes. Thermal transfer fluid to the slab has a boiling point of 650 degrees F. I let the fluid get very hot, then the pump moves it for 2 minutes, enough time to push a gallon of very hot water through pex pipe under the building far end of concrete slab. Then the pump stops and the heating process repeats for 20 minutes. Rapid slab warm up using this timed start / stop procedure. Using this unit as a boiler essentially. Heats slab much faster than thermal transfer fluid always circulating. Excellent product, will but the 50 plate unit next and sell this 20 plate unit to a friend.

I wasn't sure what size to get so I just got a big one. I installed this on my domestic water heater and then shut off the power to it. After a couple hours my water was hotter than normal and I think I might have unlimited hot water, after four showers my wife took a bath and the water was still hotter than normal!

NPT thread quality is not great so I would recommend using thread seal compound instead of Teflon tape, but its is functionaly as expected. 3/4" mpt by the way.

Ordered a few of these in the past. Price is great. I mainly use them if I need a hydronic zone off a gas steam boiler, only a few companies have tankless coils on gas boilers, so this is a good option. If you are using this on a steam boiler make sure its maintained and flushed.

Great product! Looked at many but this was a agreed by. Superior heat transfer considering the size of the unit. Used to heat indoor pool from outdoor wood boiler, but would great as freshwater heat transfer.

I purchased this to isolate a condensing boiler that has (according to the manufacturer) oxygen issues that are causing premature failure. Hopefully it will work. The mix of.hot water and hydroponic system water is segregated and all PAX barrier or SS is on the boiler side precluding oxygen from causing corrosion.

The 30 plates exchanger does a really good job at heating our domestic hot water tank for our family of 4. Easy to install with PTFE teflon. Highly recommanded. Their customer service is also very good.

Did not work as described, defective unit which was past the warranty, which was my fault not getting it installed In time due to construction delays. Support was was good at helping me trouble shoot the exchanger to no avail. I due run 3 other plate exchangers on my property with no issues but a different brand. My advice spend the money on a reliable exchanger and a company that backs their products. I would not recommend this product for purchase.
