Handwriting Guide
Very useful guide. Hope it works for my grandson.

Practice Oriented Small Book - Not a Story Book
Handwriting problems are covered well. Having a chapter dedicated to the left handed helps, since my son and I are both lefties. You need to really sit and study this book. It's small, but demands that you practice a lot - something my son and I have not really got into much as yet. So I cannot say that our handwriting has improved. Need to put the advice into practice, before commenting on that part.

Handwriting - Yes You Can!
I was taught to write in school and always have done so [I didn't 'unlearn' it like my daughter did through lack of use]. Interesting and a valuable resource.

The right practice
I loved this book because it was exactly what I was looking for in a book about improving my handwriting. It takes quite a lot of practice to develop a nice handwriting and this book provided me with the exercises I needed. It starts out by pointing out a few common handwriting vices (a few of which I identified myself with) and then moves on to exercises about improvement. My favourite exercises are the ones about developing a rhythm when writing cursive. It is indeed a good feeling when you're able to lock in that rhythm. There are tips and exercises on how to make your handwriting more mature as well. The book ends with some tips on writing with a fountain pen with an italic nib, which gives your handwriting some nice line variations. The script suggested by the authors as a baseline is the Italic script so if you are looking for a change in handwriting that leans toward Spencerian script or English Roundhand, then this book is not for you. I believe this is a great book and I don't understand why it doesn't get as many referrals as Write Now, by Getty and Dubai.

effective exercises
It is easy to analysize your handwriting and to make the very effective exercises. You will already see the results after very few exercises but you have to be careful not to become too critical with yourself.
