Robotics for Babies: An Engineering Baby Learning Book from the #1 Science Author for Kids (Science and STEM Gift for Engineers) (Baby University) Review: Perfect for introducing a concept and Perfect for learning to read - I bought this book for my kids, ages 5 and 2. We have several of the Baby University books, and this one ranks among the best. The concept is easy for kids to understand, keeping the ideas behind robotics very simple, and therefore introducing the topic very well. There is no real mention of the engineering behind building the parts, though there are samples of computer code that I was delighted to show to my children. My 5 year-old is learning to read, and the sentences are very simple with a lot of repetitive language that is easy for her to follow. So many of these books are absolutely wonderful for a variety of small children, and quite frankly, they can be pretty informative for adults. This book is less of a grow-with-me type of book (unlike several of the ABC books), but definitely a great investment if you have children in the age ranges of 0-6 or so. Review: Make babies robotics experts in minutes - Of all of the "for babies" books this has been my favorite so far! I actually work in the field and quite enjoyed it. I could have saved a lot of money on grad school if I'd just gotten my hands on this earlier....

Preparing babies for MIT, one baby at a time...
We bought this as a gift for a little boy turning one. His dad was in the field, so we thought it would be a good buy. The pictures were vibrant and it was interesting to see how an author can break down a complex subject such as robotics for a baby. We never got a thank you card from the event, so I'm just going to assume they liked it and that it inspired them to spend their quarantine having their child build a robot.

Favorite
Easily one of my favorite chris ferrie books! We've gotten a lot of these books for my daughter and this one is at the top of my list of favorites. Easy to follow and keeps her engaged while learning.

Great books
It was bigger than I expected. I love all of the baby University books I've gotten so far! I have had some pretty amazing conversations with my four year old, about things I didn't think he could grasp at this age. These books make it so easy to grasp!

Baby Shower Gift
I bought this as a baby shower gift for a coworker who is an engineer. She seemed really excited about this book. I signed it and wrote a note for the baby instead of giving her a card.

Mr Roboto perhaps?
This book is one that is either stand-alone, or one of a set that includes titles such as 'Rocket Science for Babies' and 'General Relativity for Babies'. Obviously, even the most mild treatment of such a topic is going to require either extraordinary talent on the part of the baby, or a book that is little more than a tactile experience for the baby. But here's the deal - this isn't meant just for babies (sorry to ruin the surprise!). This book is meant for the adults in the baby's life - if the adults begin to learn how to teach in very simple ways some of the most complex and deep of scientific truths and technological realities and complexities at a very early age, who knows? We might be producing the next Telsa or Edison – hence, Robotics here! At the very least, we'll be raising a generation who isn't afraid of science and complex ideas, for they will have had them literally from the cradle. And that's what makes this series so great. This particular book starts with basic concepts useful in robotics and technology. Yes, it starts with very simple concepts - these are baby steps, after all. Babies are going to be surrounded by technology all their lives, and the truth is, robots are already ubiquitous, even if they don't all look like the ones form 'Lost in Space' or 'I, Robot.' This a fun and beginning-basic way to look at some very fundamental concepts. Don't worry, phrases like ‘inertial dampeners' and 'positronic matrix' are not part of the book. It is colourful. It is fun. It is useful. An ideal gift in many ways, for baby and new parents.

Delivers the concept of robot in a very simple manner. My baby is too small to understand, however the illustration keeps her engaged. Highly recommended.

We haven’t read this one yet as it’s a Christmas gift, but we love ALL of our other Chris Ferrie board books! I’m sure this one will not disappoint! So straight forward and easy for young kiddos to understand! Love helping my kiddos build basic knowledge of everyday things!
