Anchor Hocking Fire-King Casserole Baking Dish with Lid, Glass, 2-Quart

The lid fit! Call me old school but I like the glass bowl with the glass lid. You can use it for all sorts of things from a one dish meal to cooking rice, quinoa, etc. in the microwave.The problem is that the traditional manufactures just want to make sets with plastic lids that warp in the microwave and don't last. There are also others out there that do have glass lids but looks like a kindergartener made it. Lids don't fit, won't go on or they leave up to an inch gap on the sides. Very happy with this fire- king by Anchor Hocking and with Lehman's store. Excellent packaging insured that this got to me in one piece without any chips or scratches. You have to expect that packages will be tossed around by the carrier. Surprising how many places don't pack it to survive the trip.

Very happy with this. I bought this 1.5 quart and the 2 quart, both with covers. I've had no issues with the covers. There's a little play, but what you'd expect with dishes like these - no sliding off or gaps.I'd always had Pyrex was going to get those again but with all the mixed reviews I got spooked so decided to try these. I don't know how they compare, but these seem good and sturdy. Have held up under any cooking I've put them through, stove and microwave.Overall very happy with this and the 2 quart size.

after reading multiple reviews of this anchor hocking covered casserole dish, my only remaining question was which size best suited my needs. ended up ordering the 2 quart one. as stated, this is microwavable & dish washer safe. additionally, it's beautiful to stand back & admire. its lines are clean, the glass is clear. finally, lehmans did a superb job of packing & shipping. subsequent to cushioning with paper, the dish was wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap. once done, the carton choice was a snug, perfect fit. in addition to the address label, a large orange "fragile, handle with care" sticker was affixed to the carton's surface. very pleased with both the dish & the seller.

Great dish to cook oven meals and it cleans up nice.

This is just what I was looking for! My previous casserole dish (different brand) broke, so I wanted an Anchor-Hocking for their 5-year replacement warranty and better quality. I paid a bit more, but it was worth it. The lid fits snug. The glass is clear, so I can see what's cooking without taking the lid off. The glass is sturdy, so I can tell it is not going to break from normal use. My only issue is the handles are not big enough for easy carrying with the lid on. I have to put one hand under the pot to carry it, but this is a minor issue.

I dropped and broke the lid of my very old trusty 2-qt Fire King. This set is the very size of my old one, happily, the new lid fits it perfectly as well, and this one is of slightly heavier glass, with a newer look to the handles. This came in a big box marked Fragile, with loads of crushed paper on top and bottom, with17 feet of 12-inch long bubble wrap surrounding it tightly so it couldn't possibly move, chip or scratch. I am very happy and impressed with this company. Thank you!

I read the reviews of covered glass dishes from Pyrex and from Corning. All of those reviews said that the lid did not fit well. I spent hours checking. This covered glass dish has a lid that fits absolutely perfectly! I am delighted and I recommend this to everybody. This item is well worth the cost since foods will not be ruined due to an ill-fitted lid. I have used this multiple times, and I love it!I also read of sudden explosions in the cupboards. This will not happen with the anchor hocking bowl because it is heavy thick glass.

I've had this for a little over a month. I use it mostly for microwaving frozen vegetables, etc. I love it! Just like the one I used to own. Lid fits nicely, and it seems very durable. Perfect size, also, in my opinion.

Good size. Solid casserole

Package arrived very well packed and without the usual dusting of dirt/grime that you often get on kitchen items (we washed ours before use anyway). The dish is a bit shallower than I'm used to and a bid broader, but I actually like that better as it reduces cooking time and presents a larger surface area on the top of the casserole for that bubbly/crispy goodness to appear. It washes easily and comes out of the dishwasher looking great (with zero pre-rinsing). It's nice and sturdy--toddler gave me a heart attack by dropping the lid on the floor (hard laminate) and it came through without a scratch. Only drawback is that the lid doesn't seem to sit as snugly on it as with previous casserole dishes I've had. Doesn't seem to affect the cooking much though.

Wouldn’t fit in mini oven with lid on my fault. In a normal oven fab as proper lid to grip.

After using anchor hocking for over month plus, I got no issues with the glass or with any kind of undesirable problems encountered while in use.Regards to Anchor Hocking and Amazon..
