SuperMoss (22325) Orchid Sphagnum Moss Dried, Natural, 1 Pound Mini Bale

I’m super happy with this moss. It’s good quality at a great price point and it’s so much better than the moss sold at Home Depot and other big box stores. It’s clean and has minimal twigs which can easily be removed, as opposed to store bought which is full of leaves, twigs, and other junk. It expands a lot and is perfect for moss poles and potting plants. I used it for the first time today to repot my new Cyrtosperma Macrotum and Monstera Thai Constellation so I haven’t had time to see how the plants grow but I’m confident they will do well in this moss. If I have any issues I will update this review but so far I’m very happy. I spent a lot of time searching Amazon, reading reviews, looking for a good quality moss for a reasonable price and this will definitely be a repeat purchase for me. I bought the 253 cubic inch/4L size and it looks like it will last me quite a while. I included a comparison pic with this moss vs the moss I bought from Home Depot.

it's not always available and the price seems to fluctuate quite a lot but I've used this quite a bit to mix into planting medium and make mossy poles...still experimenting

Had some trouble getting my order. I was initially sent a "mini massager" but then I got this delivered a few days later.The moss seems decent and pest-free so far, there are some sticks and leaves in it.I'll be using it for propagating African violets, Peperomias, string of Hearts, cissus Discolor, and rooting a monstera deliciosa. I will update my review if none of my props are successful.I forgot to weigh it upon arrival, but it feels like a pound and the Amazon package said 1.7 lb. After weighing it while it was open and after using maybe 15% it weighed 17.4 oz so I feel like I got at least 1 lb.

I was expecting something about the size of a bale of hay. For what I paid, even if it is the best I got about a brick's worth that. Seemed like I was paying for something else. It expands and goes a long way. Perfect for propations and you get to reuse half of it again.

It works great for my orchids. It keeps the substrate moist for a long time.
