The instrumentals sound vastly superior in this remaster and you can actually hear the backing vocals this time around, Which is a huge plus because they are almost non-existent on the original release. Yet sadly, The remaster comes as a cost. Hudson's vocals sound like he's drowning underwater. It's like the instrumentals are turned to 10 while his vocals are turned down to 4. And his newly "remastered" vocals sound too fake, Too polished. I liked his original vocals because it felt raw and it fit the album very well.I am assuming that's why it still hasn't been released in the US yet. They're probably still working out the kinks so hopefully, the vocals are fixed by the time it does come out in the US.

Von Reissues von Alben kann man halten was man will - eigentlich bin ich kein Fan davon.Insbesondre dann nicht, wenn der Zeitraum zwischen Original-VÖ. und Reissue relativ kurz ist und man den Extra-Inhalt nicht seperat physisch erwerben kann (Ich schiele z.B. auf die "Kompass zur Sonne"-Re-Edition von In Extremo).In diesem Fall beträgt der Zeitraum zwischen Original (2012) und Reissue (2018) 6 Jahre.Anstatt nur das Album erneut mit Bonusmaterial herauszubringen, wurde das komplette Album (wie bei der Valley[...] Reissue von 2010) noch einmal bearbeitet.Manche Gesangs-, Gitarren oder Bassspuren wurden neu eingespielt und gesungen, sowie wurden die einzelnen Spuren neu aufeinander abgestimmt.Öfters sind hier die Keyboard- und Basstracks mehr im Vordergrund, während sie im Original verloren waren. Gererell klingt das Album frischer und ballert härter aus den Boxen.Ebenfalls sind hier fast alle Bonustracks der originalen Veröffentlichung enthalten, lediglich die Live-Version von Cry Thunder fehlt. Warum, wissen wahrscheinlich nur die Band und/oder das Label allein. Platzmäßig hätte es jedenfalls keine Probleme gegeben."Power Of The Ninja Sword", der ehemalige Japan-Bonustrack ist eine Neuaufnahme aus ihrem gleichnamigen Demo, welches unter dem Bandnamen "Shadow Warriors" im Netz zu inden ist.(Der "Tradition", diese Demos neu aufzulegen begann mit "Ultra Beatdown" und hörte aprupt mit "Maximum Overload" auf. "Die For Honour" wurde bisher nicht neu aufgenommen oder zumindest nicht veröffentlicht.)Die anderen beiden Bonustracks entstammen der digitalen Version des Albums und erscheinen damit zum ersten Mal auf CD.Für die Leute, die erwägen, sich das Album in einer der Versionen zuzulegen, würde ich diese Reissue nahe legen, da m.M.n. hier das Album besser klingt als das Original.Zu der Musik wurde in den anderen Rezensionen eigentlich schon alles gesagt. Entweder man mag Dragonforce oder nicht, da scheiden sich die Geister.Meine Anspieltipps: Holding On, Fallen World, Cry Thunder, Seasons (beide Versionen), Die By The Sword.

Con questo disco i Dragonforce arrivano a quota cinque ed è l'album delle tanto attese novità : un cantante nuovo di zecca (lo sconosciuto Marc Hudson), pezzi più corti ed un suono da hard rock anni ottanta su alcuni pezzi. Hudson perfettamente a suo agio nel sostituire l'inarrivabile ZP Theart con un timbro più brillante e squillante. Su tutte le canzoni spiccano "Give me the night" e "Seasons" (anche nella bellissima versione acustica). Versione remixata e rimasterizzata nettamente superiore all'originale per potenza e presenza dei singoli strumenti.

Decided to pick this new remixed version on a whim. Glad I did as its great. Of course it sounds like Dragonforce but has a lot of more mainstream rock sounds throughout. I mean its not all played at 100 miles an hour which could get wearing on previous albums. Some great riffs and more classically sounding guitar solos. Some great compositions and performances on this one which prove there is some depth and substance to the band.
