I was hesitant due to the cost but have been searching for something easy to use, light and looks great iron. This is the top by far and would pay it again and again.

Really super easy to use

Curling iron. Works well on my fine hair expensive have bought several in the past, but after dropping it a few times the pins have fallen out which they lasted a little longer and the price came back down 200 is pretty steep but again does a great job if you don’t mind the price

It did not come in a box, warning tag on the wire is all wrinkled, looks like a used item! It was wrapped with a brown cloth and packed in a cellophane. Very disappointing to say the least. Paid $250.26 for it. Ugh! (I am forced to select one star)

Update: I’ve had this wand for a few months now. I have several curling wands but find myself always using this wand. The waves it makes are gorgeous. This wand has become my favorite but I still wish I could select the heat setting myself. I’m bumping i my review up to five stars. I purchased this wand at Ulta. The wand heats up really fast and lets you know when it’s ready. The curls it makes are perfect for creating beach waves. I would give this wand five stars if It had a higher temperature option. The curls only last one day on my long hair. I also have a cheap conair wand that heats up to 450 and the curls it produces easily last three days. I’m sure my hair will stay healthier with the lower temp of this wand but having a higher heat option would be a HUGE improvement because I don’t necessarily have time to curl my hair on a daily basis.

Wow! My search is over. Seriously!! I have tried wands, barrels, straighteners, curved straighteners, rollers.... to get this look. Never looking back now. I am familiar with curling wands so I just briefly read the instructions/tips, and 10 min later with very little effort this is what I ended up with. It’s a little messy because I didn’t take much time sectioning off the pieces, but I’m so happy. The wand heated up so quickly, easy to hold in my hand and wrap my hair around. The rubber tip at the end prevents finger tips accidentally burning. I never take the time to write reviews but had to share my happiness 😂.

I have had the opportunity to use many ghd products recently. Much of this review will be copy and pasted between them as things like the build quality and overall construction will be nearly identical. In addition, the function of many will be almost identical as well, the products just varying by size. For a home use product, this is incredibly well made. I can't speak highly enough of the overall build quality and attention to detail. This curling wand is solid. It has a nice heft to it without being cumbersome to use or tiring for extended periods. Almost the entire surface is made in this very smooth plastic which feels great in your hand. It provides more than enough grip while not being rough at all. That and the overall build quality leave no doubt that this is a premium product. The power cord is quite long and flexible with a GFI switch built into the plug. If I were to find any fault with this straightener, that is it. It would have been nice if the GFI were built into the cord rather than the plug so you could more easily fit multiple products plugged into the same outlet without having to switch them. Because one of the prongs on the plug is larger than the other, you can't just flip it upside down either. The other extremely nice feature is the pivot joint where the cord connects to the straightener. It spins freely and you never need to worry about getting your power cord all twisted up. You turn the wand on with a small button on the inside of the handle. It lights up both when turned on as well as when it's heated, it also plays a little song too to let you know its finished. The heat up time is exactly as advertised. In just a few seconds, this was ready to go. Once heated, even for an extended period, the tip of the iron never got more than slightly warm to the touch. Unless you touch the heating surface directly, you don't need to worry about getting a burn from this. The barrel is made from what looks to be a powder coated piece of metal with a slightly rough finish. The texture provides just the right amount of resistance as hair travels across it while still moving freely enough to not grab. The temperature across the barrel is also incredibly even without any hot spots. The manufacturer that this uses "Ultra-Zone Technology" to ensure that the heat is even across the surface. I don't know how it works, but I can't argue with the results. One interesting "feature" is that you are unable to set the temperature. Supposedly, this constantly monitors the temperature to keep it at a constant 365F at all times. For some, being unable to choose the temperature might be an issue, I found that it was perfect. I had no issues with overheating while still being warm enough to do the job well. It just works. I have no complaints about the results either. It did exactly what I needed it to. It didn't dry out my hair. I had no issues with breakage. It is just a good product that does exactly what you want to do.

First of all, I've never used any curling iron on my hair before. I have long straight and thin hair and I love the curly and loose wavy look; hence I always used my hair straightener as an alternative to get wavy hair, but never got the perfect and long-lasting curves. now I've just started using this ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand that comes in a nice packaging with the heat protecting gloves, a flexible electric cord with good length and an instruction guide. The wave wand has a long heating barrel with a cooling tip on the top that makes easier to hold the hair without getting burnt while curling and gloves adds additional safety. It has got multiple advanced features like press and hold on-off switch, and it also generates light and sound while turning on or off which is quite new and useful feature and should not forget the sleep mode too after 30 mins of ideal state. The most impressive feature I found of this curling is the heating time, it gets heat up within few seconds plus you only need to hold your hair for 5-10 secs to get the perfect bouncing curls, which means it saves lot of your time and effort compared to other cheap curling irons or straighteners. I also found it amazing that my hairs can hold the curls for 2-3 days and longer if you use the curling sprays. Also, I can style my hair more frequently without damaging my hair. The only thing which is missing is there is no temperature control, the wand is designed to maintain the temperature to 185°C throughout and you can increase or reduce the temperature levels. However, surprisingly this temperature works well for my hair and I don’t need to change the temperature levels, plus it saves lot of my time and effort to curl my hair. Another thing is, it doesn't have any kind of holding clip to hold your hair, hence if you have short hair it might get difficult for you and you must have to use the gloves to protect your fingers from getting burnt. I would say this product has impressive features but quite expensive compared to the other good hair styling tools.

Since my hair wouldn’t do this product justice, the following review was done by my wife. Like the GHD classic curve curling iron (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07F7TPC6D), this one is also very sleek looking and has a nice comfortable feel in your hand. It heats up super quick (10-15 seconds) and indicates when heated with a little chime. The barrel has an oval shape to help you achieve those nice soft waves. My only complaint is that the wand gets very hot and I found that even with the glove, I did burn myself. It is great that it gets so hot, but I could feel the heat, even through the glove. Like other wand packages I have seen, the gloves only cover three fingers, so my exposed fingers did get burned a few times! My daughter also tried it and burnt her exposed finger as well. To protect her fingers and avoid this, I had her put on a full glove. I have slightly above the shoulder length hair, so I found it a bit tricky to use, but I think it would work great with longer hair. There is a bit of a learning curve, especially if you have never used a wand like this. It takes a bit of getting used to in order to achieve the curls. I still find it tricky to curl the back of my head. For me, I do prefer the classic curling iron, mentioned above, with a tong to hold the hair when curling. Overall, the wand is excellent, has a small stand on the bottom that keeps it securely on the counter, a long cord which swivels so it does not tangle, and an automatic shut off after 30min. I simply prefer the classic curl curling iron over this one because of my shorter hair. The web site is awesome too. Go on to see videos to achieve various hair styles. I am giving the product 4 stars because I found it tricky to use and I was only able to get a subtle wave in my hair when using it. If you have longer hair, this would probably be a 5 star product. There are three females in our household. My wife, my oldest a teen, and my youngest a tween. And between the three of them they have very different hair, and styling needs. My youngest has thick coarse unruly hair. My teen has long light hair. And my wife has shorter greying hair. So the needs in our house vary drastically. But all three are particular about the products they will and will not use. And each has different styling needs and preferences. When some ghd products became available to review I jumped at the opportunity because they looked like such high-quality products. My wife informed me after they arrived, she had had one years ago and that yes, they were excellent. So, the girls went ahead and tested the following: ghd Curve Iron Curl, Classic ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand ghd Gold Professional 2 Inch - Straightener Flat Iron ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand and also the ghd Heat Protect Spray, 4 fl. oz. The products have been a roaring success. Each has their preferences and tools they will use now. Growing up as the oldest of four boys I never knew there was such variety in styling products. I thought that there were blow dryers, and curling irons, and latter in school I heard about straighteners. I never knew there were so many varieties and so many speciality items. So this will serve as a preamble for each of the reviews and product will be reviewed individually. The ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand is another excellent product. Both my girls have used this product. It does heat up incredibly quick, much faster than the device we had on hand. There is a big difference between the ghd device and others we have had in the house. The ghd might be best of class. And comparing them to other products would be mike comparing a Farrari and a Lada or Chevette. It really is best in Class.

I have long hair, upper middle back, and use curling devices since I don’t always like wearing it straight. This GHD curling iron unlike others I have used, has an semi flat oval wand instead of the standard round barrel shaped one. This oval shape seems to make for a more gentle natural soft wave. The cord has a swivel feature and is fairly long which are both good features when using. The unit heats up very quickly and one does not have to leave hair wound round it for a long time for wave to set. There is a 3 finger glove included which to degree can help avoid finger burns . The listing however makes a couple of statements which I tend to disagree with: 1: “The heat is monitored 250 times per second so that it’s constantly at the optimum 365°F styling temperature “and “ultra-zone technology is the latest breakthrough in heat styling which guarantees homogeneous heat across the whole barrel.” With the use of a heat dictation gun, the readings were very inconsistent when taken on various areas of the heated wand..varied from 300C to 385C with majority in the 370C range. Note: These measurements were taken without strand of hair wounded up but the listing also states :“The predictive technology recognizes the thickness of your hair section and adjusts accordingly”. It was too difficult to take a reading with the heating gun with hair wound on the wand. 2: “guaranteed beautiful curls that last!” The curls did not last as long as I would have expected with this claim, definitely not as long as some other heated curling products I have used. I did like the soft waves this GHD wand produced but over wave effect did not last for more than a few hours and I do not have thick heavy hair. Would have like that the hand area had more firm grip design since it too easy to let this curling wand slip and potential for burns. The packaging is very well done and is quite classic and elegant but still does not justify the overall price. I find this curling wand best for a few last minute touch up like lifting effect on longer strands on top of head or side of face. However found it too time consuming to do a whole head of hair by oneself. Might be better suited to a professional salon for the best results.
