Got this summer handled!! Great AC
This is amazing at cooling my living room. I exchanged this from a smaller one and honestly it is extremely reliable and portable. The exhaust hose is also shorter so it fits perfectly in the corner of my living room. The one difference I see that for me is a slight downfall is that it doesn’t have WiFi accessibility nor an app where my older one did. Either way this still works better at cooling down and keeping my living space cool. My space is on the smaller size as it was built in the 30’s so the size of this AC is perfect. The other bad part is that it is pretty loud. I have to up the volume on my TV if I sit too close to it but again it is not louder than the older one. If I had a space that was bigger then it wouldn’t matter. I think I will definitely get more value for my money than I expected.

SereneLife keeps us kool!!
Purchased this unit to help keep our pet cool during those HOT days. So far, it is working well - keep in mind that it has only been in service for 1 week and has only been used 3 times so far. Setup is a breeze. The window installation plate that comes with the unit - be prepared to cut it to size. I used my miter saw to accomplish the task. The room's square footage is 127.46. Doesn't take long to cool it down. Suppose the battle is that the room in the morning gets all of the sun that would typically keep the room warm/hot!! Initially, we purchased a cheaper unit - one that needed to use multiple frozen containers to assist with the heat, but that was promptly returned as only the dog would feel the cool air. Oh, don't have to worry about adding water to the tank!! Spent an extra 148 for this, and it is well worth it!!

Lasted all summer with no problems.
Purchased this A/C unit for the hot summer in Arizona in May 2025. This has worked without any problems all summer. Cools a moderate size kitchen and even brings down temp in our living room a little. A little loud, but it is an A/C unit so it's expected. About 57 decibels. Maintains it temp without any issues. Easy to set up and use. Set the timer and walk away or don't use the timer. It's up to you. When humid we had to drain the tank in back of the unit about once ever couple of weeks. My only complaint is the filter provided is kind of cheap. Just be careful when pulling it out. Kind of flimsy. Experienced no leaks at all. Used it straight for 3 months about 3-7 hours a day. It does use electricity like a window a/c so you'll see an increase in your electric bill about 15% if you use as long as I did during the summer. There is no heater. Only fan and A/C capability. Make sure you have a window to vent the exhaust. The exhaust blows out hot air. I do overall recommend this product.

Greatly Disappointed
This is a review for SereneLife SLPAC14 Portable Air Conditioner (14,000 BTU). I had a great AC that died recently. So, I did some research to find the ideal AC, however I had the hardest time choosing one due to lack of information on the AC’s listing pages and lack of honest opinions. So, I’m writing this review to help you make the right decision, or rather to save you from making the same mistake I made. In short, this AC is not good. Stay away. Don’t buy. To elaborate more: - Manual is in broken English. Some instructions are hard to understand. - The AC is heavier and larger than an average portable AC. Plus, you need around 20 inches of space around it, and the hose needs to be 35 inches up and away from the floor. Small room? Low window? No good. - Manual states “When the temperature is higher than 40c/104-f, it’s not recommended to use this unit.” Go ahead, buy this AC, but don’t use it when it’s hot outside. Shouldn’t this be in the product description? Shouldn’t one know BEFORE buying? - Wheels are useless. Needs A LOT of effort to move the AC if you have carpets on your floors. Therefore, it’s not truly portable. You can’t easily move it from window to window, and you might need help to get it to the window you want to install it in. Can’t comment on wooden or tile floors. - Manual states “If the machine is shut down in the cooling operation state, it needs to wait for three minutes before it can be turned on automatically”. And that is exactly what it’s been doing. You set it to cool and pick a temperature. When it reaches the set temperature, it turns totally and completely OFF. Three minutes later, it turns on again, then off. Without switching to fan mood in between. Why is this a problem? Well, you know when you first turn on white noise? You notice it at first, then it blends into the background. It drowns out all other annoying noises and helps you sleep, work, study, etc. Even when it’s loud, you don’t notice it until you shut it off. That’s what this AC does. It turns on with a LOUD white noise, then it turns COMPLETELY off. Doesn’t switch to fan mood. Then, a few minutes later, it turns on again. So you are constantly listing to the sound of white noise turning on and off, repeatedly. It gave me a terrible headache within the hour. It wakes me up every single time it turns off, or on. No restful sleep what so ever. I woke up exhausted and grumpy. If you want peaceful, restful sleep, this AC is not for you. - Control Panel: It sings TELALA in a loud, high-pitched voice, announcing itself to my entire building every time I press any button (panel or remote). How do you feel about your AC shouting at you every time you touch its buttons? If someone is sleeping, and you attempt to adjust the settings on this AC, you’ll wake them up. - Remote: Doesn’t sync with the panel on the AC. If you use the panel to turn on the AC and adjust the settings, then you grab the remote to change something. The settings on the panel will suddenly revert to the last settings you choose the last time you used the remote. All the settings you picked on the panel are now changed. Basically, you’ll need to stick to either the remote or the panel at all times and don’t touch the other. Although, if you want to use the temperature in celsius, your only option is the remote. - Window Kit and Hose: The hose is paper thin. So thin it wrinkles and lets in heaps of heat and sunlight. Window kit is just as bad. Thin plastic. Warps when you close the window, leaves tons of gaps, and doesn’t even fit a standard 35”-36" window. You’ll need to shed an extra $50 for a new kit. - Filter: A cheap thin layer of mesh. Never seen AC filter this cheap. Already showing signs of wear and tear and it’s brand new. - Drain Outlet: There is only ONE drain outlet. Positioned at the very bottom of the AC. It’s so low, it’s touching my carpet. No space, not even for the thinnest pan or tray. If there was a second outlet, you could easily open the bottom outlet (water won’t flow yet), hookup a drain hose, then open the top drain outlet, and THAT will cause the water to flow from the bottom drain. But with just ONE outlet, you need a yard, balcony, or other suitable place that allows for draining without a tray or hose. Many people don’t have such options. Also, when the AC tank is full of water, according to the manual, it’ll start beeping. Who’s in for a midnight awakening during a heat wave because the AC is throwing a fit? - Cooling Power: Even though I got the 14,000 BTU, and the temperature outside is only 22-c/72-f, and the room the AC is in is about 350 sq, I’m sweating! Most likely because the AC is not switching to fan mood. It just keeps shutting down every few minutes. Leaving me feeling suffocated with no flowing air or white noise to save me from my noisy neighbours like my previous AC did! Conclusion: The heat is sneaking upon us here in south California. It’s hard to believe how unlucky I got with this AC. Trapped in this terrible situation. Unable to afford another AC, and have no physical strength, transportation, or help to return it. I just want to cry. So upset. Sad beyond words. Do yourself a favor and look into other ACs from other companies. With that, I end my review and hope that it helped you in your search. Best of wishes to you all.

Cold AC for a small room
Great unit, and mirroring what most of the other reviews said, this unit works great and cools down a 200 sq/ft room very fast and keeps it comfortable. Not so much that great in a 500-ish sq/ft area with vaulted ceilings, but you can definitely feel the difference after 20 minutes of it running. There really aren't any negatives to say about this, but I will say a few things that I've noticed and wish it could be different on the AC unit. It's nothing that would prevent me from returning it, as it does what I need it to do. The fan on the high setting is a bit loud, especially when the unit is close to you but that's expected. Also, there's a fair amount of heat generated from the rear by the hose area - no hot air blowing, but if you put your hands back there you can definitely feel the heat radiating from the unit and the exhaust hose. I would recommend placing this closer to a wall or in the corner of a room. The other thing is I wish this unit had adjustable power, or at least was more energy efficient and drew a lower wattage to save on electricity (and your electric bill). I use this AC unit on a Ecoflow Delta Pro with a 3.6 kWh battery, and it'll run just shy of 3 hours on the Delta Pro, or 4.5 hours with a 400W solar panel connected at the same time. The AC unit consistently pulls 1000 watts of electricity in cooling mode, and it's the same 1000 watts in either low or high mode, so we just leave it on high to cool the room faster. I've seen some 14,000 BTU window units only draw 500-600 watts or electricity, so it would've been nice is this unit was more energy efficient. I wish it didn't draw as much power since we run this unit on a solar generator, as it's much cheaper for me to charge the generator at night than it is to plug in the AC unit into the house wall outlet during the day. Still, it's perfect on those summer afternoons when it gets hot in the house. The last thing I would mention is the included window kit. It's nice that the AC unit comes with an exhaust host and window kit to vent out the heat, but the window kit is limited in the adjustability. There's only a few windows in my house where this included window kit will actually fit, otherwise it's either too short or too long. I bought the Gulrear Portable Air Conditioner Sliding Door Vent Kit ($29 on Amazon) that has 4 sections and doesn't taper the exhaust vent, so I can either put this on our 80" tall patio door or on a much shorter window in my son's room. I wouldn't say the included window kit is worthless, as it still works and does its job. The hose will easily pop off the panel if you're moving the unit around and the hose moves a little bit, but it'll stay in place when you need it to. Overall, this is a great unit for the price.

With smart tricks you can cool a much larger area
The 12k BTU works very well. The first one I ordered began to leak water on the floor. I was eventually able to take it apart and found that inner water tray had cracked. The box was damaged on arrival so I presume it most likely happened during shipping. The company sent me a new unit, which worked great with no problems. This unit cooled a large area of my single family home while the central air was out. * If you have humidity in your area, this unit will create a lot of water. In Maryland, I'd get about 4 gallons of water every 9 hours or so. If I forgot to check the drainage bucket at least two times per day, it would overflow. The manual or description says something about how the unit is designed to evaporate water out the exhaust tube to the outside so you don't get much water drainage. However, in my experience, you definitely need a large bucket to catch the water and you need to empty it frequently. The alternative would be to (A) use a longer tube that can be run at a downward slope out the door or window or (B) set the unit in a bathtub or over a floor drain so the water can just run down the drain. You will need to have a window nearby for the hot air tube. I did the bathtub method for a while and that worked great. *Wrap the hot air tube in insulation or a sheet, blanket, or towels to keep it from dissipating some of its heat back into your room. This makes a big difference in how much cooling you can achieve. *If you need to cool a larger area, such as multiple rooms, you can use a regular fan to spread the conditioned air around. For instance, put the AC unit in Room 1, venting out the window. At the doorway into Room 1, place a regular floor fan blowing into the next room. *Make sure the water drainage tube is running at a downward angle so the water doesn't backup and overflow from within the machine. With the machine sitting on the floor, I could not fit a 5 gallon bucket under the tube, so I used a 3 or 4 gallon bucket, which sat just below the level at which the tube exits the AC unit. If you have much humidity and use a small bucket, you are almost guaranteed to have your bucket overflow and create a big mess. If you don't have a bucket at least 3 gallons, it is worth it to get one. *After experiencing a couple of drainage bucket overflows when it was not in the dry bathtub, I set the AC unit and drainage bucket on a rubber/plastic boot tray that contained any overflowing water. This worked well. You could also use a water heater drain pain. *If you're struggling to keep your place cool, try to avoid cooking inside. It adds a significant amount of heat to the house. Instead, choose recipes that don't require any/much cooking, grill outside, or cook in the crockpot and leave it plugged in outside or in the garage. *Thermal film on windows prevents about 50% of the sun's heat from coming in your windows. If you use much air conditioning in your area, doing this on the sun-facing windows of your house would likely make pay you back quickly in both comfort and financial savings.

Cools fairly large rooms, efficient, easy set up, some flaws
Nice portable A/C unit. Definitely has advantages over a window-AC unit primarily because these portables won't damage the window frame or windowsill. Has castor wheels so very easy to move around. There's only a couple of negatives about the unit... The window mount doesn't lock very well into the window frame. A locking mechanism that applies some pressure inside the window frame would've solved this issue. I have a fairly standard sized window and had to use a circular saw on the adjustable piece because it would've been too wide for my window otherwise. The other minor gripe is the thermostat...it often reads the outdoor temperature rather than the indoor temp when it's not running. It may be cool outside but if the room is warm, the thermostat may not pick up on that fact until it runs for awhile. Then it seems to kick on and off and adjust itself accordingly after 10-20 minutes. The company probably realized this when they designed/tested the unit. It's just odd that the temperature probe wasn't mounted somewhere that would've given a more accurate indoor temp reading. Minor issue overall. The unit has a powerful fan and does cool off a large room fairly quickly. I have it running in a room that is about 500 sq. ft., on the second floor of my house, and it cools the room within minutes. It's somewhat noisy but not enough to keep most up at night. It's white noise and most might find it beneficial rather than a nuisance. Allergy sufferers should benefit from these as they also filter the air. Great A/C, the portability is its main advantage over a window A/C unit. My home has central A/C but there's no need to use the extra energy to cool the entire house overnight when the wife and I are only in one room of the house. Helps cut down on the central A/C use.

Amazing SERENE~Life portable AC highly recommended
Let's write a review for this portable AC I can immediately give 5 stars! A very good air conditioner for the home, easy to install if you follow the instructions, very easy to move on carpet, laminate or parquet. Manula does a great job explaining how to install and why each part is used and how to use it. It fits our window well, there are no air gaps, the pipe is very easy to place where it fits in the window. Not that loud at all, compared to my previous air conditioner, this new air conditioner has even better settings and functions. We are very impressed with this product and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Our living room and kitchen are super cool because we set the temperature to 17 Celsius on the low setting. The delivery was excellent, the package was correct without any damage to the package. No issue with electric fuse works amazing.

Oveall satisfied
It doesn't take any time at all for A/C cooling or dry mode to kick in and immediately cools down the room. It's only the end of spring in Canada but I wanted to get one before the prices skyrocketed, so I've only played with the functions. Mostly I have it on the fan mode but am using the dehumidifier more often and it works very well. Our previous one was only 8,000 BTUs (This one is 10,000) and we had to make shift fans all over the apartment to circulate enough air to reach the bedroom. (It sucked.) I'm more than confident that we won't need to do that anymore. The power behind this unit is kicka** and it doesn't fool around. You say "Cold" and it says "No problem!" I like it. I'm happy with it. I did need to adapt the window thingie because we are using it in the patio door, but I was expecting that. For a window, I think it would be fine. It was on the lower side of the average price going right now and for all of the ones I examined on here I settled on this one because it kept coming up in the results that I was put in for the different searches describing what I was looking for, what I needed. I figured "Why not? It's got everything needed and is reasonable for what the competition offers." I'm not disappointed at all.

Nice and Cold
Great little unit for my living room 14'x16'. I aim the unit at my recliner and even at outside + 35c I keep my blanket close by. It does manage to keep the room at a reasonable temp but if you are overheated just move the unit until pointed at you, adjust the louvers and you are cool in no time. The unit is supplied with a 1/2" fitting for the drain so if you want continuous draining you must buy an adapter for a 3/4" garden hose fixture. It should come with the unit for a matter of a buck or two. There is a slight rattle/hum from the unit but nothing you can't live with considering the cold breeze benefits. I have used 2 top louvered A/C units prior to purchasing this one which is front mounted. Buy front output!

Enfriador rapido y poderoso.
