This is exactly what I was looking for. It's as advertised. The tool is well made and works perfectly. I needed a brass scraper in order not to damage steel. The downside is the cost which while not bad compared to other brass tools on the site, is relatively expensive for what it is.

I bought this for a fuel pump install. It did the job as intended. The fuel pump only lasted two weeks so I got to use it again.

This brass tool has been a game changer to clean the compensator on my Staccato XC. This thing destroys carbon buildup and the brass is less likely to damage the steel/finish on the XC. I've used it on several other platforms with great success also.

I ordered the Mayhew Tools 67001 3 Piece Brass Scraper Set and received what looked like possibly used tools, as the cutting edges were a bit ragged. Today I received a replacement set. These chisels are less raggedy, but the cutting edges are again not clean. Evidently the manufacturer is not too picky about finishing. The chisels will work well enough, but you may have to clean them up with a file.

Two of the three scrapers (3/8”-10mm and 1/2”-13mm) arrived bent and damaged on the corners, straight out of the box, never used once. The third was fine. I contacted Mayhew for warranty support and initially got a denial citing their policy that brass tools aren’t covered under warranty since they’re “consumable items that wear out or break easily.” That exclusion is meant for wear-and-tear from normal use, not tools arriving defective before ever touching a workpiece, so I pushed back on that distinction. To their credit, once I clarified the items arrived damaged and unused, Their customer service reversed course, apologized, and got replacements moving right away. Good outcome.

I use this to chip corrosion, rust, riverbed muck and crust (nice) off of metal objects I dredge up whilst magnet fishing so's I don't scratch the treasures. It works great, no moving parts. The best brass shaped stick I have ever purchased...

This is a brand new gasket scraper and in the bag it's all beat up, not a clean edge, dented, not square. Can't use it directly out the bag.
