Silly Sandwich Cutters are the Bomb!
I am always happy with the products from the Munchkin brand, and this is no different. My daughter recently bag attending a preschool program where we have to provide a lunch for her. I purchased these with the thought of making tired, boring, old sandwiches fun to eat by making great shapes! We have used these for 3 days now, and my daughter's favorite is the jigsaw puzzle. She loves putting her sandwich in a puzzle and then eating it piece by piece. I HIGHLY recommend this for parents with children who can be picky eaters. My daughter used to tear her sandwich apart and only eat the meat or the cheese. Now she eats the whole sandwich, ALL of it! These are dishwasher safe, which is a must in my house, and they are study. I find the jigsaw the most difficult to cut through sandwiches (2 slices of bread, mayo, cheese, 2 slices of ham), so I flip it over and run my finger along the cuts to push the sandwich through. I don't mind this because my daughter EATS them when they are cut into shapes. She loves this and so does her Mama! What a fun way to prep, discover, and eat food! Thanks munchkins for the silly designs. I would love to see some more!!

It makes eating more fun! They work great
Our son absolutely loves these sandwich cutters! It makes eating more fun! They work great, wash easy and hold up well. Dishwasher safe. Sometimes I find it's easier to turn the mold over once you've cut the shape into the sandwich so you can run your finger along the lines and better define the shapes/help the pieces come out better.

I wish I had thought of this.
My kid hates crusts on his PB&J, and sometimes I get in a rush making his lunch for school. No crusts, you say? BLAM! Elephants. Pow! Puzzle pieces. Kazow! Penguins. Yeah, this is by no means an essential in life, but for the easily amused (me and the kids), this is a nice little bonus. I'm not sure if these are dishwasher safe, so I'm taking the "better safe than sorry" route and hand-washing them. No big inconvenience, as the nooks and crannies are still big enough for a dish brush to reach into. All in all, a good purchase. Two thumbs up. Edit: Just found out that these are top rack safe. Bonus!

For little sandwiches, cookies.
These are sturdy little colored cutters perfect for cutting sandwiches. However, they are a little small. You will easily get all the crust off for a little one, but choose small square bread so you don't waste too much. I bought mine to make puzzle sugar cookies, and they are perfect for my purpose. (If you try it, remember to quickly cut your cookies a second time whne you pull them out of the oven, or they will "set" as they cool and be difficult to cut smoothly.) Would make a cute addition to a baking themed gift.

Love it! So great for toddlers
Highly recommended once kids reach toddler age for some fun times in the kitchen. Although my toddler isn't really interested 90% of the time, he really likes animals so the elephant is a huge hit. I use it to make french toast (hit) cheese sandwich (miss), and the puzzle-toast was also a semi-hit (1 piece counts, right?). He really enjoys playing with them, so I see it also is an educational tool for him. He likes to eat the legs off the elephants and we haven't even tried making cookies that are puzzle-shaped yet. Sure, there's a lot of different sets available so make sure you really want this. I would have preferred another animal instead of puzzle, but ultimately it's fine and it's variety. It cuts very smoothly (though I notice i have to press my fingers against the 'cutting' side to complete the circuit and get a bunch of clean edges on the bottom bread slice. These could be used for other foods besides breads. I like it that these are BPA free, and colors are fine. I did not experience any problems others noted, and I received 3 different cutter-shapes. This will provide my kids with plenty of entertainment, and its also not as likely to cut their fingers as another cutter-shape set I got, which was made from metal. Warning, do not let your kid(s) put them on the floor. It's just too much risk someone might step or fall on the wrong side, so if they do play with them, might be best to keep it supervised, in the kitchen.

Adorable and works perfectly
Adorable and works perfectly! I got one of each, as advertised, and the biggest problem we've had is with the kids trying to decide which one to use each meal. You do need to be careful not to put too much filling in the sandwich. These work best on soft things like pb&j or tuna salad. Also you need to be careful when taking the elephant sandwiches out of the cutter or you can rip the trunk off. Overall, though, we're super pleased, and lunch gets gobbled up way faster and with less bickering now.

Two of these are cute and look like you'd expect, if you're super careful...
This was just okay: PROS: 1. The puzzle one is actually cute and turns out well. 2. The elephant one also (if you're careful) does look like a pair of elephants CONS: 1. You have to be SO CAREFUL and SO PATIENT to not have half your sandwich get stuck... and even when you are fairly careful and fairly patient you'll get small parts of your sandwich trapped (so that it doesn't look like an elephant, etc). It doesn't seem to matter if it is soft bread or toasted, for me, they're always getting stuck (though toasted, no cheese, lunch meat only sandwiches are your best bet) 2. No matter how careful I am, our penguin sandwiches, do NOT look like penguins

Fun & easy to use
Purchased these as a stocking stuffer for my 5 and 2 year olds. The 5 year old loves it and after watching me apply the sandwich cutter a few times, she has become proficient in "cookie cutting" her own sandwiches whilst preparing her daily lunch. Only knock is that the manufacturer did not include information on dishwasher use. Though on the reviews & questions, someone has posted the response they received from the company which indicated that these ARE indeed dishwasher safe for top-rack. I have not attempted as these are super easy to just rinse and wipe. You will likely lose SOME bread depending on the slice of your loaf, but for common brand loaves, these are an excellent fit minimizing food waste.
