Ripped On Second Use
I worked in Pediatrics for years, and have used this type of measuring tape many times. I have never had an issue with them tearing. I purchased this to use on my first baby, and after two very gentle uses on a newborn (remember, I have used these hundreds of times without encountering any problems), the tape measure tore. The amount of paper around the hole the tape slides through is minuscule and it is not well laminated, so it is far less sturdy than a regular paper measuring tape or one used for sewing. I didn't mind spending the $3.99 for this but $7.99 for shipping is steep considering it is a very lightweight piece of non paper. So basically I paid the seller $12 for a single piece of measuring tape that didn't stand up to two uses. $6 per use? Possibly I didn't check it thoroughly and there was already a structural issue with the one I received, but from what I can tell, it just ripped while sliding the tape gently through the hole. This item is an absolute piece of junk and I wish I had my money back. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Don't buy this item. You will regret it if you do.

Not worth it
This measuring tape is laminated paper. It's very wide and my little one really does not like it. However, he doesn't mind the measuring tape that is used at our pediatrician's office, which is half the width of this one. Bottom line, for $10+ it's not worth it.
