Click - you did it wrong!
This is such a simple and really effective swing aid. It's made of neoprene and closes with velcro. Strap it over your elbow/arm and take a swing. If you bend your lead elbow in the backswing (it does allow you to bend your elbow), it will give a very noticeable click. When you hear the click, you did it wrong - simple! I really like it, it fixed a lot of my messed-up swing without having to hire an instructor. I've taken about 400 to 500 swings with it now, and I am already having muscle memory and hitting way better shots, even when it's not on. You can use it on the range, but I also found it just as easy to take practice "air/no ball" swings at home just to get the feel of swinging correctly with my lead arm in the correct position. I still suck at other stuff of course (it's golf) but this has definitely improved my swing and has really helped in a very short time. If my game keeps getting better by using this thing, I might give it a name, take it to dinner parties, use it while driving, brushing my hair - you know, allow it to live out its days with me in constant love and admiration! So yeah.

Can This be true?
I am an average golfer for my age (70) and have lost a lot of power. I go to the range once a week to work on things and my main concern was, I was bending that lead arm causing a smaller swing radius and also hitting fat shots constantly. So, what the heck I buy this thing and give it a try. Now I will say that I have only tried it once so far, but it made a stunning difference. I was hitting the ball so much more cleanly, and I picked up about 10% more yards on most of my clubs. In fact, 2 guys who were hitting in the bays next to me commented on how well I was hitting the ball. Can this thing really make that much of a difference? I still can't believe it, but I will be going to the range tomorrow and trying it out again. One other thing, I am hard of hearing and don't like wearing my hearing aids when I play so I had a difficult time hearing the click, but it didn't matter the sensation of the band keeping my arm straight seemed to make my turn and contact better. Ok so I went out today and tried it for a second time. Only this time I hit about 20 balls without it and then put it on, I was hitting the ball OK before I put it on because I was remembering to keep that left arm straight. But it still made it easier to hit the ball cleanly and helped me to turn better. I took it off after about 40 balls and I was able to continue with the corrected motion. I think this thing is a good training aid and I can see me using it once a week during the season or during my warmup before a round.

Will NOT keep lead arm extended
In the description it states "Keeps lead arm fully EXTENDED increasing the width of your swing arc". It does nothing to keep the lead arm fully extended. It just clicks if you don't keep your arm extended. It is good for providing immediate feedback if you bend your arm but it will not stop you from bending your arm.

It helped to fix my lead arm bending
It really helped me fix my lead arm from bending during my backswing. The clicker on the elbow works perfectly once you adjust it correctly. After a few swing tweaks, I was able to find the right pull away motion that kept my arm straight. A dramatic change in my swing, and it feels solid now. I also added a swing band around my arms that helped with keeping everything compact and close to my body during the swing. I noticed other reviewers complaining about the trainer not keeping the elbow straight - it's not supposed to work like that. It works by allowing you to break your elbow but it makes a "clicking" sound when your arm bends. The goal is getting the trainer on your elbow not to "click" by adjusting your swing mechanics. It really does work, once you make the change, and practice it.

Minimum effectiveness.
Doesn't keep the left arm straight. Clicker feature malfunctions. Difficult to attach. Look for another product. Has potential, needs refinement.

I put the trainer on and was amazed on the clicking feedback it gave me when I ...
I have been having problems with bending my left arm allot in my backswing for a long time and kind of lived with the problem cause I still played golf very well even with a bent arm. When I purchased another product called the swing guide this product(Tic Tac Swing Trainer) was mentioned. I was looking for a couple of tools that could give me feedback to solve the backswing bent arm. I was told by my local PRO during the lessons that I should try to improve by keeping my left arm straight in the back swing. Putting on the trainer with one hand is quite a chore, so what I did is first attach the velcro straps first and then slip the trainer up on my left arm and into the right position to use. It took a couple times to get the right snugness on the arm. I put the trainer on and was amazed on the clicking feedback it gave me when I bent my arm in the back swing. I would mention it does fit very snug on my arm.. It does have 2 adjustable velcro straps, but I wanted it to fit fairly snug so the clicking feedback would work its best. My plans are to wear it a little bit on the driving range, and then take it off and then see if I can do the same thing without the trainer. At the same time I will be taking videos of my progress. So the trainer does work for me, since my bent arm problem is quite significant. PS Also look at my review of the Swingyde Golf Swing trainimg aid(commonly called a Swing Guide). This device also helps in preventing a bent left arm when using it correctly. take care

Durable and works
Great product for providing instant feedback. Easy to wear and durable. I would have given it a 5-star if it had better instruction on which side to wear. I wore the wrong side the fist time and no clicks at all then I tried the other side and it delivered the results I am expecting

Keep your money!
This does sort of work the way it's described, but is not consistent in its operation. A little difficult to get it positioned on your arm properly and then when it is it will tend to move around so you constantly need to adjust it. The Velcro flaps are certainly well-made and the Velcro itself very good -- so you can tighten it all you want. I work out so my arms are not twigs, but I would have to tighten the flaps so tight the circulation would nearly stop to make it stop moving around. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else. When properly positioned, it does audibly click as long as you are in the house where it's quiet. If you go to the driving range you may not hear this going off. Also, it demands an almost rigid arm to keep it from clicking when it is positioned correctly. Not a fan.

but gives good instant feedback
Seems to be on the expensive side for what it is, but gives good instant feedback. Definitely gives an indication on how supple you aren't!!!

This product does not work as described
I placed the product exactly as per instructions but the product does not consistently “ click” when bending the elbow.
