Ballistic Samsung Galaxy S 5 Jewel Case - Retail Packaging - Clear

I just received this case today and I love it. It fits my S5 perfectly, all ports perfectly accessible, the charger fits in perfect, not sure why some have complaints about not fitting? Love the color, just enough color to look pretty, while letting beauty of phone show through. This case really looks like it will protect my phone from drops, which is extremely important to me after having to live with my other phone with huge cracked screen for a year and a half. ($199 to fix was too steep a price for me)So I researched a lot of cases cuz had to protect, not be really bulky, and not that soft rubbery feel that makes it hard to slide in a tight fitting purse pocket, I've almost dropped my phone cuz of that!! This has nice feel and pocketable! That about covers info I look for in reviews.Forgot to mention, some reviews said this case made pushing the volume and power buttons too hard, you have to push slightly harder than uncovered buttons but is not any kind of deterrent. In fact it stops me from inadvertently pushing the buttons when I don't want to while just holding phone. So a plus for me!

This case has a beautiful (see-through) teal color that makes my phone look great and not like every other phone out there. I've dropped it once and the case provided good protection with no damage to my phone. The extra thick corners were a selling point for me. The case has a non-slippery finish, which makes my phone easy to hold onto, which is a must for me. The only problem (and it is an annoying one) is that the on/off button is very hard to push with this case on the phone. I had to downgrade my review to 4 stars because of that problem, however I kept the case anyway, because of how attractive it is on my phone. After all, I think "it's better to look good than to feel good."

How happy am I with this?...beyond words, over the moon, the best Ballistic case I have owned...and I own many because I LOVE Ballistic. I've had other cases from them that were slim and looked perfect but then discolored after a bit of use. I have others that are very protective but super bulky and a bit too industrial. This case however is just perfect. It's slim and fits snug on my phone. I was worried that it was either going to be one of those floppy silicone things or one that is very hard crystal, but it's the perfect in-between. It's rigid, but flexible enough to get on and off. It's just soft enough. Nice padded corners for their awesome drop protection. The only forewarning I would give is the color. I have the white phone and it looks very baby-pink on the back, not the darker color I expected. Overall, I couldn't be happier!

UPDATE: I recently dropped my phone 2 weeks ago and noticed that the camera lens was shattered. Very disappointed this happened. I just pre-ordered the Galaxy note 7 and don't think I will be buying this case for my new phone.I have a hard shell ballistic case on my s4 which my 14 year old now has and it protects the phone as required for teenagers! Went on manufacturer site and saw all the color options then searched high and low in stores for a decent color and decided to try this gel case out even though I was skeptical about it working as well as the hard case ballistic. It fits my s5 perfectly, it's streamlined, it's taken plenty of drops on cement etc with barely a scratch on case and no damage to my phone. The grip is secure and it doesn't slide around when placed down. It exceeded my expectations and there were many more color options, more than what is available in stores. Not sure why people are having a hard time putting charger plug in? The hardest part to me is dealing with the port cover on the phone itself but the case doesn't impede the port cover at all, I can charge it easily. I can also fit this phone with the ballistic case in a standard size bike case holder I bought for my old iPhone and it straps to my bike without any issues. the case does not make the phone much bulkier at all. Well worth the price and far exceeds those big bulky cases which I've used on iPhones in past. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

Best cases ever!! Top quality. Withstood a lots of drops from all heights and angles. The beveled edges are a must have for anyone. I was so confident in this case that I would toss my phone to demonstrate the durability to people. Only negative is that the clear case will discolor over time :-(As you can imagine I was highly disappointed when they did make a case for my newer phone. I'll be a customer for life ...if they make a case for my upgrades :-)

It may not be the EXACT shade of pink shown in the picture but it sure is pretty! I have a pearly white phone and the pearl shows a little through the case. The case is sturdy as I've taken it off and put it back on a few times with no problem (I have a heavy duty Otterbox that is fading and stretching out that I use when I know I'm going to get dirty or think it will rain while I am outside). The Ballistic's bolstered corners and raised edges around the face are a nice touch. No issues with using the buttons that are covered by the case. Thankfully, I haven't dropped my phone since getting the Ballistic. It is pretty, functional, and didn't break the bank. Aside from the slight variation in color shade, it is exactly as advertised.

Surprised my girlfriend with this, she loved it right away! Bought it about a month ago and she hasn't taken it off yet. Case is actually very sturdy and looks great, very well built.However it loses one start only because it is so sturdy that it's a bit difficult to press the buttons. The ballistic case on my s4 (urbanite) does not restrict the buttons at all, feels as if there's no case on when pressing them.All in all the case is great, there's just one aspect I know Ballistic can do better on.
