Bright, Clear and Perfect
I purchased the 8" size for my mom who is almost 90 years old. It is perfect for her and she loves it! Don't use the age guide for size - it is not applicable for all. If I had purchased the 15" it would have been way too big. The 8" is a good size for us, and so far, it has met our needs perfectly. Bright, clear, easy to read and easy to set up. I also appreciated the fact that we could hang it on the wall.

Great clock - easy to read across room
This is the perfect solution for my mother who has Alzheimer’s and needs help orienting to time and day. It’s bright but not too bright. It seems to auto adjust at night so that she can still see it, but it’s not glowing and keeping her up in her room. Very easy to set the time. It even has a function for pill reminders, though we don’t need that. Size is good - doesn’t take up too much space and she can easily read from across her room.

Great product!
Purchased this for my aging parent who is beginning to have memory issues. This has been a huge hit. The large font makes it easy to read, plugs into any wall outlet so it can be placed around the house. Super helpful to remind them of time, day of the week and date. It worked so well, we bought a second to place in the office.

Great Product Supporting Many Languages
Great product and easy to set up using Spanish setting. Please be aware that the product is kind of small compared to the way it appears on the Amazon page. It is OK since the product works as adverticed and the intended person to be using it liked it as is. I will activate the alarm settings next week based on the target patient needs.

Really, really useful, so far...
When my Mom began exhibiting signs of dementia and I began to search for items which might make her life a bit easier, these large display time keepers for the elderly were an obvious choice for research. Everyone raved about them. They make one aspect of coping with memory fuzz much easier. So, why didn't I just jump? I held off the purchase for one very big reason: FUNCTION. Many reviews reported a) clocks arriving in nonfunctioning condition; b) clock stopped working within the 1st month of ownership; c) accuracy of the time display varied wildly. At the most, the clocks ran for a year before the display malfunctioned. I expanded my research and feel I have read every comment ever written about this type of product here, as well as on many other sites targeting the elderly. It would appear that these are manufactured by very few companies and then sold on to resellers who slap their own logo on them. So differentiating a "brand" can be nearly impossible. I kept getting hung up on the fact that an appliance so ridiculously simple, and with such familiar technology, could be made so poorly as to only last a year. At ~$50 a pop, how could it be worth it? I was baffled by this as it was so obliviously a valuable, much loved, stress-relieving item for dementia sufferers and their caretakers. Folks really thought these were great... why would they continue to be produced to such unacceptable standards? What changed? Earlier this year I finally saw mentions of "latest version" and "version 2". Hoping that this meant some of the previous deficiencies had been remedied, I ordered one in January 2022. It's terrific. As it nears the end of February, so far, so good. My Mom thinks it's wonderful! She uses it many times during the day (instead of constantly querying me). It is set up so that she can easily see it from her chair about 10" away in the living room. She doesn't currently use any of the alarms. It does gain 1 to 2 minutes every month, but I have no problem resetting it. I offered to put it in her bedroom as it is upon waking that she can be most confused as to time of day. However, my Mom is one of those folks who cannot abide even the smallest light in her sleeping chamber. You can set the clock to dim to accommodate people with this requirement, but Mom wouldn't even consider moving the clock and uses it all day long in the living room. I cross my fingers and hope for much longer than 1 year's use for this excellent product!

Best Gift I Could Have Given Her
My mother has advancing dementia and was moved into an assisted living facility almost 2 years ago. This past year with the Covid isolation has taken a toll on her. She finds it difficult to read her beloved wall clock now. She complains every day that she doesn't know what day of the week it is, much less the date. I had been telling her for months to keep that day's newspaper so she could refer to that if she is confused on those issues, but of course, she would forget to do that. Finally, I looked on the internet to see if I could find a clock that would provide not only the time in a digital format, but also the day of the week and the date. And I found this. Not only does it do all that, but the screen is large enough and lit up enough so that she can read it from across the room. She absolutely LOVES this clock and uses it religiously. She is so relieved to not have to struggle being in a continuous 'time warp.' What I also love about this clock is that it was so easy to set up for her. There is an attached stand that allows the clock to be placed on either a table or on a wall (just fold the stand back in). Better yet, if there is a power outage, although the screen will go black during the outage itself, the internal battery keeps the accurate time going, so that when the power eventually comes back on, the time is still accurate and you don't have to reset it! The only time I will have to 'tweak' this clock again is when Daylight Savings Time ends in the fall and the clock will need to be set back one hour. The other great thing about this clock is that besides all the previous information, it also tells her if it is morning, noon, afternoon or night (in case she wakes up from a nap and is disoriented about the time of day). I truly can't say enough about what a change this has made in her life. Just knowing that she can refer to this time piece has done so much to reduce some of her anxiety and frustration. I also like the fact that when the clock arrives, no where in the packaging or instructions does it say the word Alzheimers or dementia, so that her dignity and self-esteem did not take a hit. I would recommend this clock to ANYONE who has an elderly friend or relative who is struggling with these issues. This product is the purchase that I have been most enthusiastic about this year. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Great clock for older folks
This digital day clock is perfect for my elder relative with memory issues. The details including, time, day of the week, date and time of day ( morning, afternoon, evening) are so valuable for my loved one and their orientation. At waking they are often confused, wondering if is it morning or nighttime. Now with this wonderful clock those questions are answered independently, which is so satisfying for memory impaired individuals. In addition to the details provided on the screen, this clock has two power sources: by batteries or plugged in, so flexible. This particular clock is a great size for tabletop or sitting on a dresser. Overall we are extremely pleased with this Digital day clock.
