Have you ever heard of a floppy cat? The International Cat Association states the Ragdoll is one of the fastest-growing breeds, second only to the Bengal. According to the Cat Fancier's Association, the Ragdoll is the fourth most popular breed. If you've never heard of a Ragdoll cat or already own one and would like to learn more about this wonderful breed of cat-- this book is for you. Learn about the Ragdoll-flop. Read about everything from the Ragdoll's beginning, to "saying goodbye." Discover the Ragdoll colors and patterns with hundreds of full color photos. This book covers Ragdoll characteristics, traits, history, breed standard, bringing your kitten home to caring for your elderly cat, grooming care, food, litter, and litter boxes, deterring unwanted behavior, travel, dangers, emergencies, disease, health, vaccinations, tips for finding a veterinarian and choosing a breeder. Also included is a list of questions to ask before you adopt, plus extensive resources, references, and links. We know the breed to be a large, floppy, dog-like cuddly cat. The Ragdoll is known for its affectionate personality. Most Raggies are great with people and other pets. They are trusting enough to flop belly-up for a tummy rub. They are outgoing and playful but not hyper or lazy. It is not hard to choose the friendly Ragdoll as a wonderful breed of cat, but it is hard to choose which color and pattern with all the beautiful choices! Review: INFORMATIVE, CHARMING, AND WHIMSICAL - I received my copy of The Friendly Floppy Ragdoll Cat a few days ago, and am extremely pleased with its content --rich information, charming photographs, and whimsical personal musings. Although I don't own a ragdoll cat, the book covers many subjects that apply to all cats, and I've learned many useful things that I never knew, even though I've owned cats for most of my life. Obviously the author has done a tremendous amount of research, and although one reviewer states that you can find all the information on the Internet, you can't find it in such an enjoyable format. The book is chock-full of tidbits about health, diet, and how to entertain your cat. The reader can feel how much the writer loves and enjoys her cats, and has motivated me to make my cat's lives a little more satisfying. Sometimes we forget how much they can enjoy us! Review: The friendly floppy ragdoll cat - Highly recommended book for all ragdoll owners and breeders. This is a beautifully presented book in hardcover full of superb high quality photographs. I found the photo collage of a ragdoll from birth to adult especially interesting. The author has obviously done a lot of research in order to write this book. It is easy to understand and very informative. This book looks great gracing the top of any coffee table and guests have all enjoyed flicking through and looking at the photographs. The author is to be praised for superb authoring and presentation layout of this book. It is user friendly and everyone is guaranteed to learn something they didn't know after reading it from cover to cover. A very difficult book to put down. Lee Wong.

However the printed matter was informative and the photography excellent.
This book was more about specific owned ragdolls, rather than about the breed in general, than I expected. However the printed matter was informative and the photography excellent.

Money wasted
All the info in this book can be found online for free. It is full of pictures of peoples cats. If you did your homework before you adopted your Ragdoll you know 99% of this stuff. Money wasted.

Ragdoll Cats are Precious!
Reading the reviews of this book made me decide to purchase it. I'm the proud owner of a blue point Ragdoll named Laci. This book has so many interesting facts about this breed and beautiful pictures galore!! I'm excited to learn more and more about the friendly floppy Ragdoll cat. Their personalities are some of the sweetest around, they are lap cats but will also follow you around everywhere, and yes, they will flop over for you to pet their tummies. Did you know the average weight ranges from 14 - 20 pounds? If you own a Ragdoll, this book is for you to learn more about your precious furbaby! Meow!

Not impressed
Seemed more like an individual's photo album than informative text that I was looking for. Our personal copy was a used version that was found to contain large scribbles on the inside of the cover.

Absolutely thrilled
Kimberly has done a wonderful job with this book, there are lots of great photos right throughout the book, and heaps of good reading about our wonderful Ragdolls and the breed itself. I was very happy and proud to be asked by Kimberly to be a part of this, sharing photos of some of our babies which have also been used in this book. This book is a must for anyone who loves the breed or who is interested in the breed, you will be able to see and learn all you need to know about the Ragdoll. Well done Kimberly and thank you for putting such a wonderful book out there for all to have.

Love this book!
I adore this book and have 2 ragdolls. Yes it is pricey but worth every penny. Love the photos, the information. I have found it is difficult to find really good ragdoll books. This is a good one!

Brilliant!
For any cat lover this is a great book, but for a ragdoll lover it's just fantastic! There has always seemed to be a shortage of books about ragdolls, so when I heard about this book I knew I had to get one. It is very interesting and informative, even if you think you know everything about cats. There are hundreds of colour photographs of ragdolls, all the different colours and patterns are there, if all you were going to do was look at the pictures it would still be worth buying. A great book for your coffee table!

Written by a pet person who doesn't have a rag doll
My father was extremely disappointed with this as he expected a breed expert. He found the pages of photos of the authors moggies very frustrating and pointless. A few good points but overall less than helpful. He would not recommend.
