Great Amplifier for practicing or blasting the neighbors for fun
Great amplifier, easy to use and has a bunch of settings so you can get a lot of different sounds, plenty of distortions, crunchy metal, 50's old goldies sounds, I still have a bunch of setting to try out, I can also setup sounds in a software app that you can download and it works with the amp. Worth the money,

Great Price, Lots of Effects
I've been researching amps for a couple months before buying one, and read a lot about BOSS Katana amps being a good, affordable beginner amp that is also useful as you advance. After buying the BOSS Katana 50W Gen 3, I am very happy with the amp. I just recently bought my first electric guitar and amp and this amp lived up to all my expectations. It has a huge range of tone, and I've been able to dial in the right kind of sound that I want. I only need something for playing at home, so it is plenty loud. I also opened the BOSS Tone Studio, which was very nice. It was helpful to watch a tutorial to figure out how to download it, and to intially figure out some of the dials. I was very satisfied with all the sounds that were on it already, so I didn't really change much except for adding a fuzz effect on the booster knob. Before buying this amp I had tried two other amps, one was a tube and the other was a modelling amp, both older Marshalls, and this BOSS Katana was definetly a better choice because of the range of effects and volume for a good price. Even though it's not a tube amp, I think it sounds very nice and works great. The only thing I wish had been added to the Gen 3 was bluetooth without the extra accessory. Thats a pretty standard thing now so it's a little odd for it not to be added, but otherwise I am very happy. I feel that I will be able to learn and grow on guitar with this amp for years and not want to replace it.

good realistic/authentic tube sound for classic 50's rockabilly/rock n roll
this is a cool amp that has a lot of cool features that i like...........i have this amp and the Fender mustang Gtx 50 with the foot pedal...........I'm a classic 50's Rockabilly player and the Fender is better for that sound/style..............this amp can get close to those sounds too ..........this isn't really a modeling amp like the Fender.......the Katana is more like a real tube amp and the Fender models tons of vintage amps............i also have the Fender mustang lt40s 40 watt amp and it also sounds a little more authentic for classic 50's Rockabilly........if you want a amp that actually sounds like a real tube amp without having real tubes the Katana get you very close to the real thing..........

Fantastic Amp
Excellent beginner amp, especially for the price. Itโs got amazing features and is more than loud enough for anyone really. Itโs super functional with lots of options, but the free app you can get on your computer really takes this thing to the next level. Any tone sounds amazing on this thing from clean to crunchy distortion, this amp can do it all, and at a great price.

Great personal/home amp for electric/acoustic
Amazon reminded to review this purchase. I just received this amp, so it's tough to judge it fully. It's working as expected. I'm new to amps, so there is a lot I don't know about it, based on YouTube videos I have watched. I like you can connect both electric and acoustic (electric) guitars to it. I'm initially using it with a Squier Tele, and I like the sound it is producing. I feared the volume level on full or 1/2, but it's not as loud as I imagined, in a good way since I'm using this in a home.

Enjoying it more as I become familiar with the controls/features.
Was looking for an amp to replace a Line 6 spider 20w that has developed issues with the preset controler that forced me to always connect my tablet to be able to view the presets settings. Didnโt really need a 50w amp but didnโt see any I liked in the 20 to 30w range that offered similar features, except another Line 6 but didnโt want to go with one of those again. The presets are nice and the controls are easy to learn. Havenโt even connected my tablet to it yet and donโt see any reason to rush to do so. Pros: The built in output attenuator allowing me to set the output power level is very nice. The controls are simple to use. The six presets all sound good and modifying them is easy. Cons: Standard price. I got it for a $30 discount plus another $39 for the BT attachment. If I had to pay the full price and add the BT adapter, I would have looked hard at the Fender Mustang 50GTX that would be about the same $ with built in BT. Didnโt like the rear/top mounted controls as they force me to stand up and lean over the amp to get to them. Would have preferred a top/ front control layout, but Iโm getting used to this and itโs becoming less of an issue. Plus most amps of this type also have the same rear/top layout (except Line 6 and didnโt want to go there again) So I happy with the purchase and hope for years is use and would recommend.

Best Value Digital Amp
Amazing little amp for the price. Highly recommend the bluetooth adapter (separate) to be able to download and upload channel settings. Zero complaints after half a year of use.

The do everything home practice amp.
Industry standard for a reason. It does everything well. It doesn't do everything amazing. It's a Swiss army knife. It's also stupid that you have to buy the Bluetooth unit seperate to the amp. An obvious cash grab by BOSS. Regardless, for home practice, you'll be stoked.

Pleasant surprise!
I was skeptical to be honest as I have always been a tube head. I love my mesa boogie that I had to left on my home country while I'm living abroad. I was looking for an affordable option to get an all-in-one amp that would do most of the job (FX) as I only brought my Gibson SG with me. I have a few BOSS analog pedals that I like, so I thought they would know better how to do it digital and not risking their brand reputation. Guess what?! It is really good! FX are good and easy to set, amp models offering a wide range of organic and warm sound. Mine is the 50W model, same as my Mesa Boogie. It doesn't sound as good and loud, but I knew that would be an unfair comparison as my Mesa costs 5x more. It does sound quite loud and you can definitely use it on stage having it either microphoned or sending out from the amp to a mixer. I haven't checked the previous Katana generations, but I bet this 3rd Gen is the best. For what's worth, I would say there's no better choice on the market to date. I can see a need for a footswitch ($$$) to go through the saved presets when playing with a band. If the footswitch was more affordable, it would be a home run. BOSS nail it!
