Review: Passed the SPI exam on my first attempt. - This was my main exam preparation study material, the online tests are very helpful with great explanations pertinent to each questions. There are some mistakes in the text, but once you start noticing them, you got the point. I bought it back in November, 2020 and it is still in perfect condition, not a single page has fallen out. Here are some tips based on my experience that might be helpful: a single source is never enough even if it is really great. I was taking exam refresh practice test just one month before my exam to nail the material. Here are some topics that need to be reviewed using additional sources: frame rate and coded excitation (as to me, these topics are reviewed too briefly in the book), persistence and extended field of view. Read the book (at least twice) and go through SPI Exam Content Outline to figure out what topics are not covered enough for you (so it will be much easier to get additional info just online). The best part of the book, as to me, is Doppler Imaging Concepts. Easy to understand and covers all you need to know (31% of the exam is Doppler Imaging Concepts). Good luck! :) Review: The Only book you need for the SPI ! - It is a great book. Honestly it help me understand physics a lot better and the online interactive site is sooo helpful !! I just hate how often it signs you out . But I truly feel the material is solid and very helpful. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because its falling a part. My whole chapter one is literally hanging in by a thread. The pages rip out very easy after constant flipping so word of advice, go easy on flipping the pages other than that its a wonderful book to learn ultrasound physics especially if your teaching yourself! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ****UPDATE (10/04/2020) (change to 5 stars) THIS BOOK IS LIFE!!! I took my SPI on the 3rd of October 2020, and I promise you this book has it all! The questions are VERY similar to the SPI questions, there were even a couple that were the exact same from the book. I truly recommend study just this book front to back at least twice and you’ll pass the SPI with no problem! (Seriously) I don’t even care as much about the pages falling out, the book itself is amazing and very easy too understand. Not too much info just the right amount.

Life saver!!
This book was all I needed to pass the SPI on my first try! I’m surprised its not as known or used as study reference, but it is amazing and a lot of people are missing out. It is the right amount of info to fully understand concepts - gives you exactly what you need to know and nothing more. The mock exams online is very similar to the actual SPI exam, helped a lot! Also, I have had no problems with pages falling out. If you use it normally there shouldn’t be a problem - literally flipped back and forth multiple times through all chapters for a month… still in great condition!

Great book for review
Pros: Once it was time for me to take my Ultrasound Physics Final, I used this book to help me understand everything instead of trying to memorize it all. So with that being said, I only used this book AFTER i already reviewed my class notes and the edelman book first. Although the edelman book helped a lot, it was awesome to have another resource. I like how this book has a ton of interactive questions, additional images regarding important topics and would constantly compare/breakdown topics as well. I didn’t really get mixed up on anything bc of it! Cons: I was really happy about the additional mock questions that were available online using a code from the book. The website offered about 350 which I did a bunch of times, however out of about 185 questions I noticed that a lot of the questions had wrong answers (I checked my other resources) - about 20 by this point. At first I ignored them and stuck to my gut but as my exam date was approaching, I didn’t want to get myself confused and had to close the book. Mind you, everything inside the book was fine.. only the online material. Pretty good book for the review and constant reminders on the important topics. Also, not sure if it’s a pro/con but the questions felt too simplified.. i did get the overall point of it but sometimes you need a tiny bit more of a challenge for practice. But that’s just me !!!

Love!
I received this June 15th, took my SPI exam today (July 11th) and passed!! I seen a lot of reviews saying the pages fell out and mine did not, I made sure not to bend the book in case they did lol so gentle use should be good. I love this review book, there are 50 review questions at the end of each chapter and a 120 exam review along with interactive picture questions. The online portion with this book also has 350 “exam questions” to help prep you!! It was a life saver for me and I highly recommend!

The best choice for SPI
I’ve study a month, almost daily, at slow pace, after my full time job. The text is easy to understand. Loved the quiz at each chapter and the final review (which I did in the last day before the test). Very useful book and worth the money if you want to understand better the ultrasounds (and of course, to pass the SPI exam).

Book is really good but I got it damaged in delivery the front cover was ripped at the bottom
The book is really good to make the concept if your appearing for Sonography canada . Language is pretty easy and retainable however I am not happy with the delivery method I paid 91 dollars and the book was delivered damaged whichwas really disappointing. The book takes about 5 to 6 days to come I can’t return cause I have to study for my exams :(
