Leisure Locks RV Travel Trailer Entry Door Lock Polar Black Paddle Deadbolt

This door lock exceeded my expectations. It feels solid and secure, and the deadbolt adds real peace of mind when I leave my trailer. Installation was straightforward and it fits perfectly. Definitely a great upgrade for security—highly recommended.

I had to replace my handle on my ‘04 Lance 845 truck camper. This one fit perfectly. Had a solid feel to it and work as expected. Four screw easy install.

I installed this handle on my brand new trailer door so i could close it from the inside since it only came with the big bar latch system on it and we couldn't keep the door closed while we were inside the trailer. While it was intimidating cutting into my new door, installation went much better than I anticipated since I had never done something like this before. I recommend creating a template, as I did, before hand so you are sure placement is correct before you start cutting holes in your door but I imagine if you're replacing a broken latch this will be an easy swap. Keys stick a little going into the locks but they function perfectly once you get them in.

I replaced my door latch because I the trailer I bought had no keys included. Upon receiving this replacement I was surprised to see and feel how well built it was. Zero difference vs what was on there from the factory. I sprayed the keyholes and moving parts with Dry Lube PTFE lubricant and everything works smooth as it should. I saw that was a major issue with this part, but using that lube helped a lot. Hope this helps someone out.

This lock set works like new but only time will tell if it doesn't eventually have dead bolt problems like the original and other aftermarket brands I read reviews about. When installing, care must be given to not over-tighten the four mounting screws. They are not shouldered screws like the original lock had so it is easy to damage the soft door material. (The shoulder screws in the original lock allowed them to be tightened without excessively bringing the two sides of the lock together to the point where they started damaging the soft core material of the door.) Reviews stated that two different keys were needed for the dead bolt and the lock itself. I was pleased to see that the four keys that came with my lock all worked both locks, making it easier for me to use.

It was simple and very easy to undo the old lock and replace it with a new one, however as I was replacing what was then a 4 year old lock seeing weather from ice to sand it still seemed to be more sturdy and better built. That being said, this is still a very good cheap alternative when your in a bind and have to replace your handle fast and cheap. For the price of recommend this to anyone. However if you have the extra $15-$25 I'd spend it on the better built name brand that will hold up better. I've had this one for less than 6 months and I already have to grease the handle to help it close if I don't I have to slam the door because the latch catches.

We broke the key in our previous trailer lock, and this ended up being a great replacement! It is much more heavy duty than the stock lock that came with the trailer, and it was easy to install. The keys also look like they will hold up better and not as flimsy as our old ones. Just installed it so can’t speak about long term, but happy so far!
