I was excited to try these out so I could wear nicer hats on sunny days without worrying about ruining them. These pads adhere relatively well to most hats, but some designs just didn't fit the adhesive well, so there was some separation and needed to re-apply during the day. They definitely hold sweat and keep from any soaking through! I wore a light gray had to an outdoor wedding, and had zero staining though my head was beaded with sweat at some points. They do add juuuuust a tiny bit of width, so some of my hats felt a little too tight with these in place; most adjustable hats are an easy fix, but fitted hats may vary in comfort depending on how snug they were before installing the pads.
