Good for small Imperfections
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these originally to try to mask some puppy teeth marks in the legs of my dining room chairs— those ended up being a little too deep for these to handle. I did try using a lighted to melt the wax into the grooves, which did a better job but ultimately I’d still recommend them for smaller tasks. These worked great for masking some slight imperfections on my kitchen cabinets as we move towards selling our home. The colors offer aren’t perfect for the wood, but I found mixing a lighter one with the black worked out in the end.

Not quite right
I have an abrasion on the top of my table that goes through the finish, down to the wood. I figured that, since it was a wax crayon, I could fill the abrasion and then (because it’s wax) I could buff it up to blend in with the glossy table finish. Nope. The color is fine, but it’s still a very matte finish.

Waxy - not like the more familiar wood putty or wood filler
The set comes with several colors so with care you can match many shades of wood. It worked ok on filling a nick on a chest on a side that is not in plain view. Just used my fingers to push in the wax, then smooth it over. Not perfect results but acceptable. However I was not comfortable using the wax on a larger noticeable scratch on the living room floor, my primary purpose. Filling the hole evenly was tricky, and I am not sure how hard it will eventually dry. Maybe with more use it will become easier to make different types of repairs. My ignorance of the product should not be blamed on the manufacturer, just a caution before purchasing if you also have never used it before.

A Good Repair to a Bad Mark
I decided to try this product on a bad mark on a corner of my wooden floor. A small chunk of wood had been chipped off. I first tried the wax color stick to cover the damage. This did not work very well. I figured this mark was a lot bigger for using the wax color stick. I then decided to use the liquid color in an attempt to cover the problem. I did not pre-mix the colors to get a better match, but I did get pretty close to the original color. I suggest that you definitely pre-mix for a better color match. Next time, I will do a much better job. I do believe that if you do make sure you have the best color match, then this kit will work for you.

Great to quickly repair a small scratch in my coffee table.
This is a great kit with a variety of colors and means to repair scratches, dents, etc in wood furniture. I have a red cherry wood like coffee table that had a scratch and this was easy to use to fix that!

needs more dark colors, not super easy to use, ok results
It’s a good thing I’m artsy and have a good sense for blending colors, because the colors included in this really didn’t work for me at all. Mostly, it’s because they are much lighter than the majority of the wood in my house, rendering most of these sticks kind of useless. Even the darker colors appear much lighter than expected. With some elbow grease and trial and error (mixed a lot of colors together), I managed to at least improve the look of the scratch. I ended up having to rub it quite a bit with my fingers to help heat it up and melt it, which is much less than ideal, since you can get splinters. I’ll probably try a blow dryer next time. (I didn’t go with the green, of course. That would be foolish.) In any case, not super user-friendly, and not enough dark colors.
