EDIT: Update after 2 years 11 months of ownership. I have these looped around my deck on a timer at night for about 4 hours and run all year, including occasional rain + snow. The bulbs are not impacted by the weather, but occasionally one would go out. After 2 years and 11 months (approx 4000 hrs usage), out of 50 bulbs, there are just 5 remaining lit. It was pretty linear decline and 3 years isn't bad. I paid $29.99 for the set, and can get 50 replacement bulbs for about $24. However, instead of going through the tedium of replacing each bulb, I will probably opt for something new. I'd also considering some sort of LED bulb next time, something that wouldn't go out as easily. I have some individual solar LED lights elsewhere that still work just fine. Overall happy for the price, but this is just what to expect. ORIGINAL: Really like this set of lights. We'd previously been using cheap holiday lights outside which were an unreliable nightmare. This is set looks stylish. It comes well packaged, and includes 4 replacement bulbs. Overall when I installed them, one light was out at the start. 2 others seemed to be out but just needed a little twist to tighten. These twist on and off securely and easily, without trouble. The bulbs are glass, I broke one stupidly when I let it fall to the deck by mistake. They were slightly smaller than I expected in person, about 2/3 the size of a standard lamp light bulb I'd say, round in shape. Changing the bulb that was out, I notice they all stay on when you remove a bulb, which is obviously amazing. There are two sets of 25, which sounds like a lot but never really covers as much as you expect. They connect into each other like holiday lights do. There isn't a lot of extra cord beyond the bulbs, but I was expecting to run an extension cord anyway. It covered the area I wanted though, and they are bright enough to relax at night without being overwhelming or blinding.

I'm not sure why people are having so many issues with these. I received my order very securely packed with foam around each bulb. I checked to make sure all the lights worked before I started stringing them and they did. My patio looks awesome! I've had them now for about a month and no issues, they don't even seem to get very hot after being on for hours. Update: I've now had these for a year and a half hanging outside, including during winter and storms. They are slightly sheltered as they are hanging from the bottom of an upstairs deck, but they've held up great and still look brand new. I think 2 bulbs have burned out in the past year and a half, but they're easy to replace. None have broken.

Purchased these lights for our patio, I settled on these specifically because they already had hooks on them and our patio is metal, thus not allowing for nails or screws. The hooks attached perfectly to our awning and they are a great addition to our patio. I love the look and the brightness of the lights, we've had them about two months and we've had no issues with them. All of the lights are attached to the patio via the hooks (no lights are hanging) and they've held up great through rain and wind.

These make a warm white light, the length is good, and they generate a good amount of light. I have one set in my bedroom over the bed and one in the living room over the windows, they are very cozy! The only bad thing about them, and i suppose this is what you get for the price, is that the glass is very thin and they can break easily, so be careful when putting them up and make sure that they are hanging tightly. Along with that, the bulbs generate a lot of heat, but I've had them on for hours and there hasn't been an issue with burning or anything. Other than that, they work well!

These are a great deal. I bought 8 sets (each set is 25 feet long) and they look very nice on my patio. They are bright enough to entertain guests in a 400 square foot area with only 4 sets (100 feet altogether) crisscrossing with four corner posts. The only issue I have is that if you connect more than 4, the fuses begin to blow out. I initially connected 6 sets (150 feet) and the fuse blew on the first set. Then I went to 5, and the fuse blew again (a little linger this time). I have connected four and they seem to be holding up just fine. I am not an electrician, but I have a 10 gauge extension cord connected to these lights that has powered some large equipment in the past, without shorting. I would say that you can safely connect 4 (100 feet) before needing a separate power source for any additional strands. Overall, this is a good product at a great price and the bulbs aren’t thin glass, so you can jostle them a bit without worry. 4 stars.

First I need to say, "Kudos for your incredibly great packaging and shipping!!" This company has taken care to secure their product. The lights are delightful and I only needed one strand in my kitchen as they are bright, a warm bright. I definitely recommend this product. Five Stars!

These are durable and BRIGHT. The bulbs they came with are so bright, i ended up replacing them with amber globes after a few years (more gentle lighting IMO). I have had them in 6-10 different locations over the past 5 years. The are easy to move; they STAY in place (even out in the weather); and the bulbs are very long lasting. They bulbs are quite fragile so you will want to be careful and make sure they don't "clink". PRO TIP - hang the strand how you want it then go back and add the bulbs. These were not the cheapest option when I purchased but they are by far the best VALUE outdoor lights I've ever owned. Highly recommend.
