Barbie Collector Hunger Games Katniss Doll

When you first see the box, you see that the box is actually really sophisticated - none of the typical 'Barbie pink'. She looks much better in real life than in the pictures. The doll is very well jointed, much more so than a regular Barbie, which makes her more fun to play with or easier to pose if you're going to be displaying her. It even comes with a stand to display her on - it's a pretty good one and you can't really tell it's there! The detail is phenomenal; everything from the mockingjay pin to those awesome boots and even the bows! One thing I will mention is that it is very hard to get her to hold the bow. It comes attached to her hand with ugly bulky plastic, which I removed. Now I wish I hadn't because I have to physically tie the bow to her hand with thread and it rarely stays in place for long. Also, the day after I brought it, amazon took over a third off of the price which was both disappointing and annoying. However, it's a lovely doll, not too 'Barbie' like and actually looks very much like Katniss in the film so I recommend it for both Hunger Games Fans and Barbie Collectors :)

I bought this is an adult collector, as I absolutely loved the books and thought this doll looked well made. I'm seriously impressed with the amount of detail Mattel has copied from Katniss's tribute costume in the first Hunger Gmaes she's involved in - the bow and arrows, the mockingjay pin, and her side plait. I've left the doll in the box, which suits the character well as it has the pin on fire on black as the background. On the back there is a recap of the Hunger Games film. This doll is a wonderful tribute to the character Katniss, girl on fire. Fantastic qualitiy, and Amazon's current price at time of purchase is excellent. I'd recommend this to any collector, or to anyone with a daughter who loves Barbies.

I love this doll! Her face uses the Goddess sculpt and minimal make up, giving a pretty good representation of the actress who played Katniss in the film. Her clothes are lovely, very well made and perfect miniatures of the arena outfit in the film, right down to the tiny Mockingjay pin on the lapel. Best of all, Katniss is fully jointed and poseable and can fire her arrows! Her hair can be combed out and replaited and all her clothes easily removed. Katniss was designed by Bill Greening and is an awesome doll for display, play or photography. Well done Mattel!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. She had just read all the books and seen the film. She LOVES it, and commented that it was so life like and really detailed, especially the jacket and the tiny mocking jay pin. She managed to get the arrows out (not sure if they're supposed to?) and even fired them with the bow. You will not be disappointed.

The picture of this doll displays the first series doll. However, the doll which I received is from a later series and has been changed in appearance (another face). The new doll is a beautiful Barbie doll, but perhaps not what the buyer would have liked. I was a bit disappointed, because I really like the first series doll.

This is a brilliant replica of Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. This inspired my daughter to take up Archery as a sport and she couldn't wait to get the doll to put in her room. Lots of detail in the doll itself and great that it comes with a stand for display.

I bought this as a birthday present for my younger sister (she turned 15) and she is a huuuuuugeee hunger games fan! She loves it to pieces! (It's currently being displayed in the centre of her HG shrine in her bedroom) I'm so glad I found this for her, can't wait to see if a Catching Fire model comes out, because that'll be a brilliant Christmas present for her! Would highly recommend to any HG fanatic/collector!

Cette Barbie est de bonne qualité, la texture du pantalon est un peu grossière mais le visage est assez ressemblant à l'actrice. Malheureusement la référence de la poupée est marquée sur l'emballage du colis, l'effet de surprise pour ma femme est tombé à l'eau ... mais la vendeuse m'a renvoyée une compensation et s'est excusée ==> communication excellente, mais si vous projetez de faire un cadeau, demandez-lui un emballage cellophane.

Me ha encantado la muñeca. Nada más verla me cautivó su imagen. El precio es alto para un juguete normal pero se trata, sin duda, de mucho más. Sin llegar a ser coleccionista, se puede disfrutar de la perfección de los detalles que acompañan a la muñeca. Su indumentaria es de calidad y su flexibilidad también. La recomiendo para todas aquellas personas, adultas o no, que hayan visto la película y les haya gustado. Si la regaláis a una adolescente ¡éxito asegurado!. El envío llega con rápidez, incluso antes de la fecha estimada para ello

I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter who is a Hunger Games fan. The detail on the doll is fantastic because it has all the features (accessories) of what the actress in the movie wore: jacket with red lining, bow, arrows, arrow case and Mockingjay pin worn. My daughter enjoys playing with this doll and I will get the other character dolls to the movie that are out as well. It is made with the good Barbie quality that other Barbie dolls are made with. I think it was worth purchasing for my little Hunger Games fan. ;) Warning though: It does have small parts (the bow, arrows and I don't know if the pin would break off) so I wouldn't recommend this for a child that would still be curious about putting things in their mouth.

Bellissima riproduzione di Katniss in tutto il suo splendore del primo film! E' completamente snodabile ed arriva con il piedistallo e il certificato di autenticità. Da fan del film ho notato subito la somiglianza del viso ( soprattutto di lato) e ho apprezzato molto il dettaglio della spilla. La cifra è un'po alta ma ne vale la pena.
