If I hadn't previously read 'Katherine' by Anya Seaton I might have given this a 5 star - It's just not quite as good. Still enjoyed it immensely and found myself looking up all sorts of thought provoking aspects of the book - so a great purchase in my view!

Great story, well written.

This was the first historical novel I read in my teens long ago. Loved it and started on a lifetime of reading hundreds of good (and bad!) authors. Bought this as a gift for my great niece who struggles to finish a book.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed reading this book although felt a bit frustrated towards the end as I really wanted the story to end in a particular way which didn’t quite. A lovely read!
