Ointment for Dogs - Itchy Dog Skin Relief, Helps Soothe Itchy and Dry Skin Irritation, Cleanses and Disinfects (100g)

My Rottie, had a really bad hot spot on her neck, very wet and very infected, despite the negative reviews regarding the smell, we thought how bad can it be, to be honest it does smell like an old ash tray, however I can easily put up with that if it helps. Day 1. I gave the area a good clean, and despite 3 applications morning noon and night the hot spot didn’t really show much improvement as the ointment seemed to be soaking away to nothing, Day 2, the instructions aren’t really clear, I wasn’t sure if to wash the area again or apply over the top, I went for the later and applied over, again 3 applications and again, not a great improvement, Day 3 we are starting to see results, the area was beginning to dry up, Days 4 to 7 the results were just amazing, hot spot now well under control and no sign of redness or any infection. I am not one to leave reviews but I had to for this product. Instructions not great, smells bad, but what a fantastic product, my wife was over the moon, as she was in tears first day as the hot spot was so bad, what a difference a week makes. Lolas fur has completely grown back now as well. Hope this review helps.

This has a very unpleasant smell and residue so I advise wearing plastic gloves and keeping dog off furniture when applying!BUT it does work well and a couple of applications rash cleared up and my little spaniel stopped scratching!!👍👏

My dog has a skin condition linked to multiple allergy triggers (food, environmental, storage mites, fleas). He flares up often without any apparent reason. The recent flare was particularly brutal. Aggravated by the injury from scratching, his side and underbelly were raw and on the verge of looking infected. First pic taken on 11th of Nov. Second pic 8 days later. Yes it smells, yes it transfers into furniture if you’re not careful and yes it will turn your silver jewellery black (lesson learned!) BUT it works and that’s all I care about. My boy’s been sleeping and content all day. Get yourself two tubs!

Smells horrible very strong smell,but it works

My dog had been scratching and biting his fur for weeks, causing matting and bald spots. He had Been back and forth to the vets, who eventually decided it could be fleas so sold me a tablet at £30. It didn't work, so I bought this ointment. It worked after one application. As for the smell, I think it is creosote, which is a dog deterant (I only know this because a strange neighbour once had a go at me about my dog weeing on his fence and the next day it was drenched with creosote ). Great stuff, has relieved him of his aggravation and did not stink the house out. Highly recommended.

my westie has had a bad year with a skin issue that started with the heatwave. only now and using this cream has it finally cleared up. over 150.00 on vets bills, probably the same on buying other creams and shampoos and tablets for him. nothing worked. until i bought this cream underneath his skin and back legs were terrible, really dry red flaky skin, itching and biting all the time, it was upsetting for him and us. the cream is a light brown /tan colour and has quite a smell to it, and can look unsightly, especially on a white dog, but we kept putting it on him and bathing him every 2-3 days,. the difference is remarkable, within a week it has nearly all cleared up, hardly scratching at all now, he is really enjoying having an unbroken sleep now as are we, he is much happier and it shows. i can only recommend you try this, don't let the smell put you off, (it's not that bad) keep at it putting it on and persevere with it. it might not work on all dogs , but there is no harm in trying this for the price, it could save you a lot of money. i am really pleased with this cream, it has done a wonderful job, because i saw no end in sight to my dogs issue until i used this.

Worked on dog web and toe cyst like no other...Yay..........

very smelly !!!! couldn't stand it. threw it away. Didn't seem to work on cysts in between dog toes
