Product Description ------------------- Bestway 1,500gal Sand Filter is an effective and environmentally friendly way to keep clean water pumping through your above ground pool. It's also far cheaper than running a standard filter pump system! This is because the pump uses 25kg of silica sand to filter water instead of a filter cartridge. Whereas cartridges may need to be changed on a fortnightly basis, silica sand requires a change once every three years! The pump works by sending pool water down a hosepipe and into the filtration system. Because sand is so compact it traps debris or leaves but allows water to pass through. Clean water is then pumped down a separate hosepipe and into the swimming pool inlet. Cleaning the filtration system is a simple case of using its backwash setting to separate debris and then using its rinse setting to pump it down a waste hose. Its corrosion proof filter tank features a pressure gauge that tells you when this simple cleaning exercise needs to be completed. Bestway 1,500gal Flowclear Sand Filter is compatible with 18ft Fast Set Pools and Steel Frame Pools.
