Omesio Full Tang Fixed Blade Hunting Knife with 60 HRC M390 Steel Blade

I've bought many fixed blade knives for several years and collect them (my most favorite always being the KABAR fixed blade knife). However, I saw this on my Amazon feed and got curious. A very cheap fixed blade knife that's M390 steel for $40?!?! No way. "This is probably a fake." is what I thought to myself. However, I decided to purchase it just to see how it is and give a honest review. The packaging is simple and nice, a plain black box that's not massive or unnecessarily huge. Opening the package, you get the sheath and the knife separated. The sheath itself is very well designed! However, the quality of the leather is what surprised me the most. I'm not sure what kind of leather they used, but you can immediately tell it's high quality leather. It's durable and will definitely last a very long time. The blade of the knife has the markings M390 on it and, if I'm correct, a serial number on the other side. Blade is very sharp out of the package. Testing it on wood, paper, and other materials, it cuts through very nice. Honestly, I bought this knife to use as part of self-defense. This will definitely be good in self-defense. The handle of the knife is also well designed. I love it so much. As someone who trains a lot of knife fighting movements, I can say that this knife has a good handle for you to hold it in various kinds of grips. Forward grip, reverse grip, Filipino grip, Wharncliffe grip. However, because of how smooth the handle is, there is always the high chance that it can slip off your hands when your palms become sweaty or the handle gets covered in other substances that makes it slippery (such as blood) when fighting. THIS IS EASILY FIXED by just wrapping the handle in different materials such as leather, paracord, rubber cordura, etc. It's all up to your choice to make the handle more grip efficient for your needs. Overall, for $40 (current price as I'm writing this) for a high-quality M390 blade, nicely designed handle and sheath, this is WORTH THE PRICE and, honestly, A STEAL!!!! Most likely they will increase the price once this product receives more attention. If I were you and want a HIGH QUALITY, CHEAP, small fixed knife with a BLADE THAT DOES NOT BREAK WHEN FIGHTING OR DOING OTHER THINGS, then this is it for you.

I just received this knife today 01/27/25. Upon first impression, WOW! Great look and fit. Even though it is made in China I was pleasantly surprised. Sheath is made of a good thick leather well designed and a nice snug fit. Well balanced and good grip on handle. Sharp right out of the box. I did put a better edge at a 30 degree bevel that you could shave with. Time will tell on edge retention as I use it to see if it is a true 390 steel which is the main reason I bought it. I figured for 40 bucks it was worth the chance to see. Overall I am very pleased. It's still a beautiful knife and another for my collection.

Nice heft noted immediately when removing from the box. Appears to be full tang, has a slight angle to the handle, not completely straight like a Buck knife making it feel easier to use. For my purposes (carry while hiking in the rare case of animal attack), it is perfect. My hand and fingers fit well into the slot making it feel more secure in my hand (female), not sure if someone with larger fingers/hands would feel the same. I did notice the blade is not as razor sharp as a Buck knife, (yet still very sharp) and for my purposes I appreciate that as I am less likely to accidentally cut myself when working with the knife. For the price and my purpose for purchasing, this knife is perfect. The leather case has a solid slot for a belt loop, I would prefer a clip on rather than having to slip the cover thru a belt. Some complain about snap closure, I found by slightly moving the knife to the left side the snap works fine.

Im just learning knives. But the one thing that jumped out at me is the balance. Its almost an extension of the hand holding it. The M390 steel is beautiful. Shines and cleans with a cloth to a high gloss. Sharp and hard. Serial numbered. Beautiful imprinted logo. The wood handle is gorgeous. This knife is an absolute steal. Pun? Get it before they jack up the price. I have many knives and this just topped all of them. And i will display it but its a shame not to use it every day. In the kitchen- handling and putting it to the task it was born for. Bottom line . I am overwhelmed with the quality and beauty of this knife. I love the thing. Enough said.

I have quite a few knives. All very good quality. This one well exceeded my expectations. Great attention to detail in everything, including how tight it fits in the shield and the holding strap is just the right length. The grip is great and the knife is well balanced. Extremely sharp, and for M390 knife, it’s dirt cheap. Makes you want to buy a few more but no need for that since one will last a lifetime.

Sharpened like a razor blade. Afraid to even lightly pull my thumb to test sharpness. But as they say, "Until you have blooded your knife, it's not yours." Craftsmanship is noted in attention to details. Polished handle, full tang, and it will cut you to the bone! In addition, the price is unparalleled when pricing other steels of the same caliber. There just isn't anything bad to say except to those few amateurs that put their knife in backwards and then complain about the sheath coming apart!!

I bought this for my grandson. A great knife for the price. I have zero complaints. I can buy better. But not necessary for what he will use it for.

Item arrived timely and is as described. Blade was sharp and appears durable and rust resistant. Very nice design and fits in my hand like a glove. I would recommend this knife to friends and family.

Parece muy bueno, muy bonito y se siente bien hecho, aún no tengo oportunidad de probarlo en condiciones severas de trabajo pero seguro lo haré, espero conserve bien el filo

Bellissimo coltello robusto e dall'acciaio di qualità resistente all'usura. Si maneggia molto bene, ed è particolarmente affilato, per cui bisogna fare molta attenzione. Il manico è in legno molto ben costruito ed elegante. Anche il fodero è particolarmente robusto e piacevolmente decorato. Pregevole la forma della lama.

Buen cuchillo y muy bonito

I can’t get over the quality of this knife for the price! I got it to bring on a camping trip and it has held up so well. It’s sharp, sturdy, and looks beautiful. The leather sheath isn’t my style, but fits the knife really well and fits on a belt perfectly. The only downside for some people may be the size of the handle. I have small-medium sized hands, so I find the handle fits perfectly (and the finger notch makes it a really strong grip feel). However, If you have large hands, I think you might find the handle a bit too small (I showed my dad the knife and his hand just barely fit). I definitely recommend if you want to have a cool knife for recreational use! I’m not sure how well it will hold up doing hard core bush craft, but for the novice camper, it does the job well.
