Used this with acrylic white paint for one of my cosplays. Needed a couple layers but worked well.

As with most things on Amazon, you have to pay attention to detail with regards to size and volume when considering whether you get you get enough bang for your buck. Having mixed the medium with acrylic paint, which does have the ability to be used on most materials, this medium did have the desired effect when painting directly on fabric. In particular, it did reduce the stiffness, thereby allowing more movement and survived the scrunch test to see whether the paint would fracture. And washing the fabric at 30 degrees on a 30 minute cycle. I would not that it does, not unsurprisingly create a glossy finish and catches light whilst painting and on the final piece. In practice it means there is a glare so be ready to adjust your lighting when painting.I would recommend this product, but consider it a little on the small size for the price paid.

I used this to add to acrylic paint used for two hats that I painted for my brother’s birthday! It made the paint a smoother texture that didn’t leak through to the other side. I used an iron on low setting and cheesecloth, to cover the paint to make it waterproof! So far, no running paint in the rain reported!

This is an excellent product. I actually wrote a 3 star review at first but after a couple of washes I realize this stuff is amazing; I found a very sweet vintage quilt that had lovely colors except for an abusive bright red. I decided to buy it and tone down the red using this medium mixed with a white paint, which I applied lightly to wash out the bold tone. While it immediately looked how I wanted the result was very starched. I thought, well at least it looks nice and I will just live with the stiff patches. Over time I washed the quilt as one does, not having any expectation that the result would be 100% wonderful. While the quilt still holds the original paint it is no longer stiff. Sometimes my experiments work out, thank you for a great product!!
