  • Makes the area smooth but cracks remain visible. Ideal to repair whilst wanting to retain patina on leather.
  • Apply using a sponge and let dry. It can be sanded once dry to achieve a smooth surface.
COLOURLOCK Neutral Binder is a strong binder which stabilises the surface of the leather without making it too stiff. It is useful for repairing damages to the leather surface where it has become brittle, scaly and needs to be smoothed down prior to repairing it. It is the ideal product for repairing leather when the cracks or not deep enough for a filler but cannot be covered using Leather Dye. First degrease the repair area thoroughly with COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Spirit. Don't use Mild or Strong Leather Cleaner in damaged areas! The damaged area would only soak the liquid and the leather will get stiffer. The regular cleaning products are only recommended for undamaged surfaces. After degreasing, apply Neutral Binder with a sponge in the direction of the fibre structure and let dry on its own between applications (do not use a hairdryer!). If necessary, repeat the process and smooth rough areas with the COLOURLOCK Sanding Pad. Neutral Binder is a strong binder which stabilises the surface of the leather without making it too stiff. Deeper cracks and rips can be filled with Fluid Leather. Last step is smoothing down rough areas with the Sanding Pad. After the repair work, use COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh to recolour the repaired area. Apply several times and dry in between with a hairdryer.
