Bosch Replacement Blade for Rotak 34/34GC

Although probably cheaper elsewhere got this through Amazon Prime. Just to say that this IS a genuine Bosch part and does fit a 10 year old Rotak 34GC. It is easy to fit, if you have done a minimum of cleaning over the years you'll see the moulded hole in the base for the screwdriver to hold the blade while you loosen the old bolt, not too difficult to loosen the bolt even though our blade had been on since new (and was well past it!). The bolt screws in and out the 'normal' way, RHD threaded. Certainly makes a huge difference cutting the grass!

Its a replacement blade, what else is there to say. Except that the instuctions it comes with are fairly basic and pictorial and the best thing to do is search YouTube for a video where someone shows you how to replace it, as the key thing to do is use a screwdriver in the right hole underneath your lawn mower to stop the motor spinning, to allow you to loosen and remove the old blade and tighten this one. Once it was on it was like having a new mower again.

Great quality replacement, easy to fit and works perfectly. Very reasonably priced too.

As far as I can tell this looks like an original Bosch product. Easy enough to fit. The only challenge is you need to put a small screwdriver through a hole through to the motor to stop the motor turning as you undo the bolt holding it in place, and it took me a couple of goes to find the right hole :) After that though it's very simple, and it cuts really well.

Second purchase of this item in 3 years, which is around the useful lifespan. They're relatively soft metal and take a lot of stone damage over time, and at the price being asked, it's not worth trying to correct that and put a cutting edge back yourself. On both occasions I've received genuine Bosch replacement parts in full original retail packaging, and with the necessary fasteners (new bolt and washer). Replacement is easy with the correct tools and technique; 1) The bolt has a standard thread -> right (clockwise) to tighten, left to loosen. 2) Lock the motor spindle by placing a round screwdriver shaft (crosspoint/Posidrive) into the appropriate hole in the underside of the mower. There are one or two such holes but the others have screws at their base, for mounting the motor. You know you have the correct one when you can no longer spin the blade. Inserting the screwdriver shaft far enough in to lock the motor entails rotating the blade slowly and 'feeling' the shaft into it, when blade hits the correct position.

For a couple of years I have used a Bosch mower and was very happy with its performance but I was finding it difficult to get the correct type of replacement blade through the usual sources (e.g. B&Q, Homebase etc). They were quite happy to sell you a complete mower but to find the right blade for a mower you already had from the selection in-store met with a "Try this one, it may fit" type of response. And when you find out it doesn't fit you can't take it back as you have openend the packaging. This one fitted the bill perfectly and at a price that was in line with what I would have paid in any of the above stores - that is, if they had one to sell me! Not a saving as such but I got the blade I needed and at a good price.

Bought to replace the existing blade which had given good service for a number of years but which had become pitted and worn. Good product that is simple to fit. Recommend you buy a genuine spare part if you want your mower to function properly.

En la página web, en la descripción y en "MEDIDAS DEL PRODUCTO" pone como largo 42,5 cm. esta medida corresponde al paquete, incluida la lengüeta para colgar en un expositor, la medida de largo del producto es de 37 cm. convendría diferenciar entre dimensiones del paquete y dimensiones del producto, ya que en mi caso me han llevado a dudar. Por lo demás extraordinario, viene en un paquete, bien protegida, con su tornillo, instrucciones visuales para el montaje
