HP 301 Black Original Ink Cartridge (CH561EE) – For DeskJet 1000, 1010, 1050, 1510, 2050, 2510, 2540, 3000, 3050, 3055, ENVY 4500, 5530, OfficeJet 2620, 4630

Usually these are reasonably good ink cartridges, but on this particular occasion I've bought a dud. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago because my ink was running low. Tonight, I changed the cartridge because the old one had run out and I needed to print something for tomorrow, and all it would print were blank pages. Not very happy that I've wasted my money, and now need to buy another one in the hope that will be ok. Let's hope I have better luck with my next purchase. Usually I'd give this product four stars, but this particular one gets one, and it would no stars if that were possible.

I purchased a printer cartridge HP301 (Black) a few months ago. I was impressed by the price and the speedy delivery from Office Supplies. I have only used my printer 3 or 4 times since I purchased the cartridge and only for standard letters. I used it a couple of weeks ago and the print quality was awful, it was faded and was illegible. I took the black cartridge out and shook it a little, re-installed it and printed again and the print quality was acceptable. I have used it again today to print off a two page letter and once again the print is faded and illegible. I took the cartridge out and shook it again but this time to no avail. I have had to use a lighter shade of black on my colour cartridge to print off my letter. I am surprised how poor quality this is and I probably should have paid double the price at Tescos and received a quality product. Very disappointed. HP 301 Black Ink Cartridge

This "genuine" HP 301 Black Ink cartridge arrived today and I, staight off, replaced the one that had run out on my HP Deskjet 2040. The printer immediately threw a dicky fit - all the warning lights started flashing and an "E" symbol came up on the display. I tried the various remedy measures advised by HP; re-inserted the old black cartridge, took out the multi colour cartridge, tried single cartridge mode - all the permutatiuons I could think of - but still the flashing lights and "E" massage stayed. The conclusion of the HP advice was that the printer needed servicing - contact HP! I bought the printer just three and a half months ago and it is still under guarantee. It was the case that even after the old black ink cartridge packed in we were able to carry on scanning documents, until the insertion of the new cartridge, now the printer is incapable of anything. So I will take the printer back to the vendor and invoke the guarantee, but I have this niggle that the vendor will point at the "genuine" black ink cartridge and claim it fried the printer! I will in due course report the outcome in the comments section.

I bought this with a new HP printer and have only printed a handful of times with a few documents here and there. Worked all right with no complaints until today, the black ink cartridge shows 40% remaining but is not printing anything but blank pages. The colour cartridge works okay and has even less ink remaining according to the app etc. I have cleaned the printer head via the app, and did a through secondary cleaning but still have the same problem. I can only assume that these cartridges aren't what they used to be in terms of quality or the amount of ink in them (which is normally a tiny bit which is absorbed by styrofoam). Disappointed because this means I have to buy more ink to then have it do the same thing. I should not have bought HP at all. Also, I don't print enough to warrant a subscription, maybe print once or twice every six months.

I have no do doubt that this product is suitable for "HP" products but be careful, I used this and got "incompatible ink cartridge" message. I do not believe this is due to the supplier but more likely it is "HP's" product protection protocol, my HP Envy is now a paperweight (actually gone to landfill). My best advice is "DO NOT USE ANY HP PRODUCTS". You will no doubt notice that their products are cheaper but include features that are at a premium when purchased from other suppliers, that's because they make huge profits from the sale of consumables (ink). I'm guessing that if your printer is connected by wifi then it is assumed that you use "instant ink" therefore if you install a cartridge from any other source you will need a new printer. Before buying search HP timebomb! I personally will never again buy an HP product.

Not value for money. If I could record no stars I would have. Very disappointed as I have had to buy two on different occasions as I found the ink in the catridge was only enough to print about 30 pages on one occasion and about 25 on the second occasion. I do not think the cartridges were full or else I should have been able to get more printing done. I would say this is a rip off and I'm surprised Amazon actually allows a product of this quality to be sold as the original. I bought these as I needed ink urgently and Amazon at the time did not have the two pack - colour/ black that I normally buy.

Sorry to moan, but I simply hate the way that whenever you put a new ink cartridge into an HP printer, you seem to be forced thru a routine for "alignment" that I strongly suspect is primarily a ruse for using up a proportion of the very expensive ink that you have just bought. It is particularly painful when the cartridge yet again ran out much earlier than expected. It also seems to be increasingly difficult to buy non HP ink and get things working. So I've had enough of HP printers. My next printer will be another brand. If anyone has any suggestions for a cost effective and reliable printer for every day (mainly black and white) printing in low volumes, please let me know!

Having ordered 3 x HP301 ink cartridges recently, when fitting one this morning, I have found my printer will not operate. On closer inspection of the box it is a HP350 cartridge with a sticker on it stating it is a HP301. This does not work and I am not at all pleased with this as I have paid for goods not fit for purpose! I was lucky enough to have a HP301 which I have fitted and the printer works absolutely fine. Had I wanted something akin to the real thing I would have ordered it, but I only want to fit the genuine cartridges - that reasoning has been made clear today. Not a happy customer!!!

Sono molto soddisfatto della cartuccia di inchiostro 301 Nero XL! La qualità dell'inchiostro è eccellente e la durata è molto lunga. È una scelta economica per chi ha bisogno di stampare regolarmente. -Facile installazione: Installarla nella stampante è facilissimo, basta seguire le istruzioni e in pochi secondi è pronta per l'uso. Non c'è bisogno di fare configurazioni complicate. -Affidabilità: Essendo una cartuccia originale HP, posso sempre contare sulla sua affidabilità. Non ho mai avuto problemi di compatibilità o di qualità, e questo mi dà una grande tranquillità. Contro: -Nessun difetto significativo. Come ogni cartuccia originale, ha un costo leggermente più alto rispetto alle alternative compatibili, ma la qualità giustifica ampiamente il prezzo. In sintesi, la HP 301 è una cartuccia di alta qualità, affidabile e facile da usare. La consiglio assolutamente a chiunque possieda una stampante compatibile della serie HP DeskJet, Envy o OfficeJet. È un investimento che vale la pena, soprattutto se cercate risultati professionali e duraturi
