I have recently been getting into retro gaming and I needed an easy way to transfer the game ROM files to both my Samsung S7 phone and Nexus 7 tablet. Doing this sort of thing on a computer is really easy but for some reason, the tablet & phone makers seem to have been dragging their heels. Just about every non-Apple device has a micro USB port on it these days but using it to transfer data from something as simple as a USB drive is not always straight forward. I knew nothing about any of this when I started but it would seem that you need to ensure that your device is OTG compliant. There are Apps which will test for this (although apparently the results are not always reliable) but in my case the App was correct. Anyway, I found an App and it told me that both my Nexus 7 (2013 model) and Samsung S7 support OTG. It may also be worth noting that none of my devices have been 'rooted' and they are just 'stock' devices. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that might not work so I bought this cable. When it arrived, I plugged one end into my phone and connected the other end to a Kingston USB stick. The stick was recognised as were the files on it. Transferring the files from the stick to my phone was just a matter of using a File Manager App. The same happened when I plugged it into my Nexus 7. Not willing to stop there, I fished out my Xbox compatible USB controller which I sometimes use when playing games on my laptop. I connected it to Nexus via the UGREEN cable and it worked with my emulator. I really couldn't have expected any better. Overall, if you want an easy way of transferring files to your phone from your PC (and maybe using a game controller), this cable is an inexpensive and simple way to do it. I am just about to order a spare. The only caveat is that your device must support OTG.

GREAT QUALITY LEAD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Managed to connect my Motorola E5 running Android 8 to my ifi xdsd DAC . After trying for a while to get the two connected I finally did it. Go to settings tap build no 7 times (to get developer options) Go to settings again and look for developer options press select USB configuration and change to AUDIO SOURCE make sure otg lead is connected to xdsd (and xdsd is on)and phone when you turn audio source option on .white light on xdsd should light up (to tell you its connected to usb) now restart your phone then KHZ light should illuminate hopefully it should be connected.Also in developer options there is option to turn on APTX/APTX HD Bluetooth (high quality Bluetooth).

Good little adapter. Reliable and good for it's price. Works well although sometimes it is a bit difficult to insert the mouse into it as it can be a bit tight and not go in very easily. This can cause it to become damaged however it's usually okay if you're careful with it. Worked well personally for me and still use and have it now and works just as well as it did when I got it. If your looking for something cheap and reliable for adapting peripherals such as a mouse or a keyboard to a phone then this can definitely do the job for it's small price.

I purchased this cable as I quickly discovered that the 90 degree angle version which I had previously purchased was unsuitable for my linx 10 tablet as I could not charge it at the same time as using a mouse. The cable came packaged neatly in a small resealable pouch which is recyclable. On first inspection it felt very sturdy and well built unlike other cables I have purchased in the past. Now finally i can use my usb keyboard and mouse on my tablet with ease. I have also tried to access a usb stick and external hardrive via this cable and they both work perfectly. In addition I have used the cable with my mobile phone and can also state that it works great with that too. Overall a great product and judging by the quality, I will definitely use UGREEN again without hesitation.

I have a usb light, and when I hook that up to this, then plug this in to my Android phone, I can turn the light on (very bright). So it defintely works, and you can transfer power through it as well. Not just nice for the money, it's just nice overall. If I paid £15 or £20 for this I'd still be happy. Well built, solid, really doesn't feel flimsy or cr@p at all. I think this will last a long time. Not sponsored, I bought this myself with my own money. It doesn't show all my photos in my gallery to place on the memory stick.It didn't delete the picture of my phone either after transferred on to the memory stick. Otherwise it wasn't to bad

The cable worked immediately with my Samsung s7. I plugged a SanDisk 4gb memory stick into it, plugged the cable into my phone and using the file manager, was able to view files on the stick and also transfer files onto it from the phone. It also worked with my nexus 9 although i downloaded a file viewer from the play store first (Youtube showed me how to do it). Really delighted with it, can take videos off my phone that are too big to email (or very slow to upload) within a matter of seconds and put them on someone else's phone or computer without having to use the internet. Perhaps "Backwards is the new Forwards"

Lo positivo: • El cable es de buena calidad – sienta bien a la mano • NO hay errores de ningún tipo a la hora de usarlo, funciona perfectamente. • La transferencia datos – archivos de una memoria Flash al dispositivo conectado, se hace rápidamente, sin errores durante el proceso. • El cable es firme y por ello existe una conexión estable, entre el móvil – Tablet y el cable OTG. • Funciona correctamente con los dispositivos que se especifican en la descripción del producto (mandos de consola de videojuegos, ratón de computadora, teclados y memorias Flash). Lo negativo: El cable es un poco corto, por lo tanto, se hace algo incómodo a la hora de conectar una memoria Flash. Sin embargo, esto no afecta el funcionamiento del cable OTG, ni de la memoria Flash. Conclusiones: En términos generales, este cable OTG funciona correctamente, con una buena calidad y relación calidad – precio es una compra acertada.
