I bought this as a Christmas present. Myself and my brothers grew up with the ladybird books so I thought it would be an up-to-date nostalgic giggle/read for my Mum. Have ordered others in the series for other members of my family. I think they are great - just like the original but obviously brought bang up to date with an added humorous twist - brilliant.

The current Ladybird range evokes long-past memories of childhood, with a cynicism and wit which either offends or hits the mark. This book hit the mark...

I gave this to my parents so they had a reference of what it means to be a grandparent. It changed their lives and now they know how to be grandparents which is good as they were sadly lacking in knowledge and would frequently behave inappropriately which is not acceptable when dealing with babies or young children. I hope someday I read this book so I also will have the knowledge however I fear I will not live long enough to become a grandparent as I live a risky lifestyle full of alcohol and substance abuse. I wouldn’t make a good grandparent I don’t think I make a good parent. I hope there is a book I can read for advice. I wish I could read.

Great range of book and excellent delivery service esp at Christmas

Love this book. It makes a great gift for those friends who are new Grandparents. Like myself they were all brought up on Ladybird books themselves.

The book is very funny but unfortunately it was damaged on arrival and so I will not be able to give it away as planned!

nostalgia yes are used to have these when I was a child They are quite fun to read and look at the picture and then remind me when I was a child now I’m 30 something I am in love with them all over again I know people might not like these books it’s not for everyone cup of tea

I bought this for my parents. They fell in love with the Ladybird adult series when they saw the books at my sister's place, and this was a perfect gift for them. Lots of fun.

I usually like the ladybird for adult books but this one was very boring. I was hoping to gift it to my grandfather but I am glad I read through it once before sending it to him.
