Good fit and makes it easier to hold onto the camera at times.

I love this silicone case for my Sony Alpha. Last camera I had got scuffed a lot, so I wanted to make sure that this one was well protected, and it is. Great value for the money paid, protects well, doesn't add any extra weight, and fits perfectly to the body. Only thing that I can say to keep in mind with silicone camera fittings is that it will cause the camera to get hotter quicker. That's a simple fix for going into the settings to turn off the feature that cause your camera to stop recording if it gets too warm. Once I changed that, nothing about my camera was affected.

My use case for this is simple - have a layer that will reduce the wear on actual camera body. I am a little disappointed in the case. It seems like it has way too many cut outs, so it appears flimsy by itself. After putting it on the camera, case did fit the camera like a glove. Come to think of it, the cut outs are probably needed, for now my worry is the case will eventually rip. Hoping that the case will continue to hold and do its work, I have put it on the camera, and will see how it stands up to regular use.

Protected my camera during a fall from low height. No visible damage. It does cover up some icons on the camera, but if you're familiar with where things are on your camera, it is fine.

Looks and feels good in the hands, you do have to give it a nudge to get the battery door to open properly and if you use a trípod and put the camera body vertically on the tripod it shifts a little because the case between the plate and the camera gives a little I guess you can fix that by cutting out the case the the plate is touching the camera so the won’t happen I don’t use it like that so I have not need to make that mod. Overall the case is nice to have and all buttons work they do need a little more effort specially the rear wheels but that’s the price of protection.

This is a very nice cover for the A7 iv, it fits almost perfect, improves the grip due to the material used and protects the camera from scratches. Looks like a good investment to me.

Un peu de protection pour un A7IV, ça fait pas de mal. Le bon : - L'épaisseur du silicone est plutôt importante (ça reste fin) - Le touché est agréable et peu glissant en condition normale, avec de la sueur ou les mains mouillés ça reste glissant. - Les coupes et l'ajustement sont assez bons - La mise en place est facile et ça bougera peu. - Bonne protection contre les petits coups ou rayures, ne fera pas de miracle sur un appareil tombent de 1 mètre de haut mais aidera sûrement un petit peu à limiter les dégâts Le mauvais : - Bien que les coupes et l'ajustement soient assez bons, ce genre de coque silicone a toujours des endroits ou le silicone n'est pas assez/bien soutenu/maintenu en place. Exemple : le bouton "play/lecture" et "suppression/poubelle" basés en bas à droite de l'écran, cette partie de silicone à tendance à se décaler/pendouiller/bailler (2mm). Ce phénomène est accentué par le vissage d'une plaque rapide qui va venir tirer/torde le silicone et nuire encore plus à son placement. - Certains boutons sont complètement masqués, on ne voit plus le symbole de leur fonction Les défauts mentionnés sont inévitables avec une coque silicone (on peut éventuellement scotcher avec du double face pour améliorer le maintien en place, là ou ça pèche) et comme pour le reste c'est bon (qualité/prix), je recommande ! After returning a case that cost more than double (separately reviewed on Amazon) I didn't hold out great hopes for this. The packaging and initial appearance made it look much cheaper quality but I was pleased to discover this was a case of looks being deceptive. The main faults with my previous purchase were poor fit and a slippery, non textured feel to the silicone. This case remedies both of those issues and I feel much more confident in maintaining a secure grip on my A7iv. The silicone skin is thinner than the more expensive product but I believe this to be a good thing. It fits more snugly and just looks better overall in my opinion. I prefer the design considerations when it comes to the cut outs as well. More thoughtful and allows you direct access to the most critical, newer style tactile buttons on the A7iv. I like the approach of leaving the flash shoe fully accessible with a cutout - far more practical and neat looking. Some may find operation of the mode dial switch a little tricky if they regularly switch between stills/video. It was tolerable to me but may bother some. I'm confident trimming a couple of millimetres of silicone off would be an easy and unnoticable fix if you felt the need. I noticed there's no cut out for the small red light to the right of the C4 button and this is totally obscured. I may be wrong, but I don't think this serves any critical function and shouldn't be a problem. Again, some careful DIY by cutting a small piece of silicone out would be an easy remedy if this was something that bothered you. Overall, I recommend this case for the money as it has a far more premium appearance than the one I initially purchased for a lot more money. Just take your time putting it on and don't rush it. The thinner silicone did give it an appearance of being more delicate and possibly likely to tear if handled carelessly during the installation phase.
