The item did not come rapped in plastic. It was in a box. The gasket that's supposed to be on top that seals the filter was missing. And the thing had a loud smell of gas. Like it had been used.

Genuine product
Better than buying at Kenworth or Peterbilt. Same product for a better price and I avoid the long waits at the auto parts stores

It's the correct Cummins/Fleetguard filter, plastic wrapped to stay clean, and I can't complain about any part of my purchase. BUT... I have since learned there are two better filters out there to consider: Donaldson's P559000 and DBL7900. Both have better small particle ratings and the DBL7900 has improved seals for higher temperature applications. Google "Donaldson full flow filters for Cummins ISX" if you're nerdy like me and want to evaluate way too many options before buying...
