I upgraded to the WD Black SN850X 1TB with Heatsink for my gaming pc after my ssd died, and it has exceeded every expectation. Installation was a breeze — it slotted perfectly into my motherboard's M.2 slot, and the built-in heatsink saved me the hassle of having to reuse the one i already had and made installing it easier The speed is incredible. Boot times are almost instant, and games load fast AF. I’ve also noticed smoother performance although thats probably due to having a fresh windows install. The heatsink does a fantastic job — even under heavy load, temps stay well within safe limits. It’s also PlayStation 5 compatible, so this would be a great option if you're looking to expand your PS5 storage with something fast and reliable. although i dont own one so cant comment on anything about that If you want top-tier performance with excellent thermal control, this drive is worth every penny. We had needed to expand the family PS5 storage as uninstalling games when we fancied a change was time consuming. With games getting bigger and bigger, we decided it was time to expand. The reviews for this drive were excellent, it is Playstation approved so a sensible choice in my mind. The price for 2tb was very good, especially when compared with last year when we first thought of this expansion. Installation was simple. Remove the PS side cover (no screws for this, it simply slides off. To fit the drive, remove a single screw to access the installation port. Undo another screw (there is only one under the plate) and move it down a few holes, this is to secure the new drive. Plug the new drive in and secure the screw to keep it perfectly in place. Replace the port cover plate and slide the cover back on and you're done. Start up the PS5, you'll get a prompt screen to format the drive, hit format and you're done. The whole process took me 4 minutes and I'm a ham fisted oaf. At this price this is a no brainer if you like gaming. The read/write performance looks excellent, no moving parts so drive will be silent and a built in heat sink should see it run cool. Looking forward to loading up a few family favourites for the weekend.

Game changer, literally! I was debating just buying a new 1TB PS as I tried an external storage option but wasn't satisfied. Then I found this with great reviews. I am so glad I got it and saved so much money. It was so easy to install. Note: this is an internal ssd but don't be out off. Google installation but you only need to unclip the cover and remove 2 screws. Plug in ssd and put the screws back in. Then format it when prompted and BOOM! Takes a few minutes and you have yourself a full storage upgrade. All my games play seamlessly with no issues at all. I don't often write reviews but this was definitely deserving of 5 stars.

Absolutely awesome drive, super-fast, super sturdy. Well worth the money. I upgraded my system from a 1TB WD_BLACK SN850 I'd managed to fill up. I was able to clone my installed 1TB System drive onto this new 2TB one in an enclosure without any issues, then just swapped the drives over and the PC booted right up and Windows didn't even seem to care it was running off a different drive. Faster and with more capacity, it's noticeably improved Windows performance. My old drive is now going to be used for the latest games (like Starfield) that require SSD's to run effectively... And of course, Skyrim will go on there... :)
