Stewart's CALCULUS: CONCEPTS AND CONTEXTS, FOURTH EDITION offers a streamlined approach to teaching calculus, focusing on major concepts and supporting those with precise definitions, patient explanations, and carefully graded problems. CALCULUS: CONCEPTS AND CONTEXTS is highly regarded because this text offers a balance of theory and conceptual work to satisfy more progressive programs as well as those who are more comfortable teaching in a more traditional fashion. Each title is just one component in a comprehensive calculus course program that carefully integrates and coordinates print, media, and technology products for successful teaching and learning. Review: Horrible Author, though Good Condition and Fast Shipping! - If you are looking to learn calculus at any level, don’t get this book. I’m just saying, Stewart turns even the simplest of concepts into full out rocketscience. Nevertheless, for the product side of this review, my book came in great condition and at a better price then my school’s bookstore. If you’re forced to take a Calc class and use this book, highy would recommend purchasing used from this vendor. Though hopefully no one is placed in that predicament, because this author truly makes me want to pound my head into a wall (and then force make me to find the acceleration at which my head hits the wall using differential calculus). Review: Didn't even need to go to class after this book arrived. - I was literally able to just stay in my dorm and teach myself because this textbook was so thorough.

Important Subject
I always have wondered when we would really use this in the real world. After taking other classes that use Calculus though it apparent that it can be used in a great array of problems. Be ready to study hard for Calculus II. It is very hard and requires a lot of studying.

its a book for college
Nothing to say particularly. This is one of the better textbooks for calculus. Read and do problems and you should get the concept. Applying the concepts however was pretty hard.

Spine Disconnecting
We wanted to let someone know that the spine on this book is disconnecting and my daughter is worried about the condition as she uses it this semester. I'm going to glue it so that it won't fall apart as she continues using it. Thank you!!
