Does anyone else have trouble extending or shortening these poles? What is the trick?

You twist two adjacent pole sections. The smaller diameter section will become lose w/in the larger section. You can then extend or shorten them. You then turn them the other way to tighten them at the new length. Repeat for the other sections as needed.

Will these be long enough for a 6’5” guy?

I'm 5'10" and with the poles set so that my forearms are at 90 degree angles from my body there is still plenty of pole left for extending the length if necessary. Most folks don't know the proper length of pole for their height, the rule of thumb that I've used for decades is forearms at 90 degrees, simple.

I received my poles, very nice. One adjusted perfectly, but the other does not lock so they collapsed. What should I do？

Some Cautions: 1.If the pole slides down during using or the lock is not tight enough when adjusting the height, please pull out the pole, turn the red plastic part on the top of the pole but do not touch the white gasket (leave about 0.12''), then plug the pole back. 2.When adjusting the length, the smallest pole is fixed on the STOP horizontal line, and the length of the whole pole is adjusted by adjusting the length of the middle pole. 3.Correct usage of shock absorption function: hold the lower pole tightly, turn the upper pole clockwise when lock tightly, it is in no shock absorption state. If turn the upper pole half a circle counterclockwise, when feel the 'stuck', it is in shock absorption state. 4.The straight foot covers need to be removed during walking, these only use to protect the cloth bag and avoid hurting person.
