hOmeLabs Small Space Dehumidifier with Auto Shut Off - Compact and Portable

If you have a camper, and are in a humid climate this is perfect for keeping your camper dry. I have a 30 footer and I went the route with the crystals but this is so much better. Think of the investment you have in your camper and think of the damage that excess humidity can do. This is my second one, and I will keep on buying them.

Bye-bye moisture! Not a paid review. Researched a lot looking for something reliable and space saving. I’ve used this product nonstop for months! Completely reliable. Very portable and easy to use. Light indicates when it’s full and automatically shuts. It’s a work horse—pulls tons of moisture out of the air. Doesn’t have complicated bells and whistles—just does what it’s supposed to do. The top pops off to clean the filter area. It’s very quiet. Doesn’t leak, easy to empty.

Great little device sucks the damp out of the air. Used it in my bedroom first, it worked nicely. Then had an incident with the kitchen sink and it helped dry the area out after repairs. Amazing quiet little dehumidifier as an alternative to the big noisy compressor unit for small spaces. The power adapter does warm up a bit so it can not be run 7-24. Got it in November, now end of February it is going strong in damp corners. Will not do the whole house, but it keeps the damp out of the odd corners.

I purchased this dehumidifier for a small second-floor hallway that receives little/no ventilation and lacks any HVAC return vent. The hallway tends to get musky in warmer weather so this little machine helps remove water and odor from the air. Before purchasing, I'd recommend to review the dimensions this unit is rated for in comparison to the size of your room. Because my hallway is a little large for this small unit, I'd be better off with a larger dehumidifier, but for the price and small footprint, I'm happy with this purchase. Getting a larger unit has trade-offs, such as increased power consumption, noise, size, and cost. It's probably better for a small bathroom or closet as other reviews have suggested. The unit takes a few days to fill up the water reservoir, is easy to empty, and I haven't had any issues cleaning it after 4+ months of use. The fan can be heard when close to it, but otherwise cannot be heard from surrounding rooms and would just be some slight white noise anyway. The unit works exactly as advertised, but I emphasize that it should be used in a room within the recommended dimensions for maximum results.

Helpful in extra rooms that are used infrequently. Also perfect in windowless bathrooms. We have gotten several of these and one kapooted after maybe six months, but the rest are all going strong. Extremely useful and easy to use. The light does indicate when it needs to be emptied. When it's still okay it is green and when it needs changed it turns amber. They make a little bit of noise like a small desk fan. No odors. None of the ones we have has ever proved electrically hazardous. All have operated safely. The frequency of emptying depends on the size and humidity level of the room it is in. It contains the water well and by design cannot leak as long as all the pieces are intact. It will turn off when it is full, but the indicator light will remain on. The unit doesn't really get warm when running so heat isn't an issue with these. Doesn't take up much space so it can easily sit on top of a cabinet, counter or shelf.

Zero Stars! I purchased a hOmelabs dehumidifier on March 22, 2026 from Amazon. I received it on March 25, 2026. It worked well for about 5 weeks, then just quit working at all. I did all of the procedures recommended in their owners manual to trouble shoot it, but nothing helped. I called the customer service number in the manual a dozen times over 4 days during their published service hours. Each time there was a recorded message saying their working hours were finished (not true) and recommended sending an email to customer service address. Over the next week I exchanged eight emails with them. Each time, I provided the information they requested, and each time a different service agent advised me of a different reason they could not replace it or refund my purchase price. Most of the reasons were totally incorrect (like the 1 year warranty was up when I had only ordered it 45 days earlier). With each subsequent email I would explain the reason why the previous excuses were inaccurate and provide whatever documentation they requested. They finally instructed me to address the problem with Amazon. Therefore I am writing this review. I would strongly recommend no one purchase a dehumidifier from hOmelabs and that Amazon drop their product line.

I have had this unit for one month. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. I am using it in a small bathroom where the fan has not been working effectively and needs repair. My hope was that this little unit would get us by until that repair is complete. There is no window in the bathroom and I have made sure the unit is seated properly and the vents are not blocked. When I first plugged it in, it did not seem to work at all and I was concerned perhaps I had purchased a lemon. On the third day of use, however, it suddenly seemed to 'kick in' and I noticed the tank starting to fill with water. It has continued to work consistently over the rest of the month. I have not had a complaint regarding the AC adapter getting hot as others have reported and the length of the cord is fine given it is recommended to leave 8 inches around each side of the unit when using it. I need that length to get it positioned correctly so appreciate that it is not too short. It does work, is quiet, compact, and the tank does collect water over a period of several days. I am just not convinced yet that it is of significant benefit as the room still seems far too humid for too long following my kids taking their showers relative to how the room felt before using this unit. I was hoping the difference would be obvious as others have reported. I will continue using it and may adjust my rating upward going forward, once I see if this unit continues to work consistently over a longer period of time. I will also turn it off for a few days, then start using it again and try to consciously keep better track of what the family reports pre- and post- usage, make sure they are consistently leaving the door closed when running it, and get their input as well. Based on my own observations thus far, I would not pay more than the $29.99 I purchased this unit for unless it continues working for an extended period of time.

I use it in small RV. It does indeed collect water, maybe a tablespoon at night, but I was hoping for a higher rate of moisture removal.

We placed two of these units in a small room (less than 150 sq. ft.) and had a hygrometer in the room. There was no reduction in the room's humidity at all.
