poorman's macro for a mortal's budget
These are good extension tubes at an even better price. The five star rating isn't for "in a ranking of extension tubes, which are the best?", but for what you get for this price... plenty. They work with the auto focus on my Sonys and for under 50 bucks you have yourself a sorta-macro, or "poor man's macro" out of any lens that'll mount. With one or both of these extensions, you reduce one's minimum focal distance, and can get some good "magnification" with pretty similar results to a macro lens. Not bad. These tubes are made of plastic, and are pretty lightweight, and I'm not sure how durable they will prove to be if one is making a lot of lens changes or throwing a heavyweight lens on the front. I would recommend the polished ring version as it will be kinder to your lens mount. These couldn't be easier to use, mount right up to the camera body, and still allows you to use all the compatibility and functions you would expect. The fit is nice and snug.

Macro on a budget!!!!!
To clarify, this device will assist you in achieving a product as close to macro as possible, but it will never be as accurate as a dedicated macro lens. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised once I mounted my 85mm lens and captured a few images. The quality of the images was excellent, but I recommend using manual focus since autofocus can sometimes become confused with the intended target (although practice is required). The installation was relatively straightforward and without any issues, and the most notable advantage is its lightweight design. Overall, the device performs its intended function effectively, and considering its price, it is an excellent value for money. I am currently using it with a Sony A7III camera.

Great for the price
It does what it claims to. The photos I can take look awesome and I love the product. The quality is alright and is metal/plastic. Sadly it does have some wiggle to it with my lenses. It does not effect the performance but I would like to see a bit higher quality.

Pretty fun gadget to play with for the price
Is this going to make your non macro lens as good as a true dedicated macro lens? Probably not. Is this going to allow you to explore a new style of photography without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars for a dedicated macro lens? Yes it will! The photos in my review were taken with my A7IV with the Tamron 20-40 with both extenders on, and a tube light to light the subjects. It was my first ever attempt at anything this close up, and honestly am pretty impressed! Note: if you have a lens that already focuses super close like the tamron can or a lens that has a high magnification ratio, this will only make it better. It definitely makes lenses with bad minimum focus distance better, but it won’t make it to where you can focus right up to things. Also, the electronics seem to work fine. My lenses seem to struggle a little finding focus but it does work… but I just use manual focus and find the focus by moving the camera body.

Excellent Way to Convert a Kit or Prime Lens to a Macro Lens
This extension tube kit is an excellent way to convert the Sony kit lens or a prime lens to a macro lens, but it's important to know what you're getting. This is not a lens, nor a pair of lenses. You are not getting any glass here. These are extension tubes only. They do not affect the image quality of your camera or lenses. As in computer science: Garbage In = Garbage Out. If you have a poor quality lens, sensor, or camera, these lens extensions will not help nor hurt you. If you have poor lighting, an unsteady hand, and refuse to use a tripod, you're going to have a tough time getting good shots. All this being said, if you practice a bit, you can get almost microscope-like shots with a standard portrait lens and without having to buy a dedicated lens. I'm not an expert on macro photography, but for some online reviews I do I needed to be able to take some "close-up" shots that border in the "macro" range. This inexpensive but relatively high-quality pair of extension tubes was perfect for me. I'm happy with the fit and finish, and the versatility the two-pack brings to my Sony 35mm prime lens. I don't think I'll use the pair of extensions together much because the depth of field becomes ridiculously narrow and the amount of light needed for a great shot increases a lot, but I like the 10mm and 16mm separately. I think I'll use the 16mm most because-- for my needs-- it's about the right level of macro. I've attached four pictures. Amazon may jumble the order a bit, but here's how they were taken in order (and you should be able to figure it out just by looking at the framing): 35mm lens only with f2.8, 35mm lens f2.8 with the 10mm extension, 35mm lens f2.8 with the 16mm extension, and finally 35mm lens f2.8 with both the 10mm and 16mm extensions.

Great Quality for the Price
Great quality for the price. You aren't going to get crisp photos, but it allows for a closer focal point. The edges are very blurry because the focal point is narrowed so much. If you are looking to play around with macro photography, then this is a great product for you. If you already have a macro lens, then this product is still for you. With different lenses, you can produce different effects.

Great macro lens adapter
I wanted to try some macro photography without shelling out for a new lens. These worked great to get that effect with my current lenses.

Best value tubes with AF.
These allow me to significantly cut down the focusing distance on my lens. While they are metal, they are slightly wobbly, and sometimes get locked up. But I still believe they are great for the price, considering the gap to the professional grade tubes is about 4-5x as much money. Using both tubes will make your AF hunt a bit from time to time. Works well most of the time however.

Allows you to get up really close with the kit lens on the Sony a5100 Camera. Photos taken with the 10mm attached. [first two of a 1 new pence piece, a talisman - approx. 25mm in diameter, Casio Watch and two shots of the contacts and bottom of the adapters. Good quality and excellent results for first time straight out of the box use
