10 Gallon Pet Reptile Starter Habitat Kit with Light and Heat for Small Desert Dwelling Animals

Only thing that grinded my gear was the lightbulbs both went out in less than a day not sure why but had my reptile go through a week of an ordeal with insufficient lighting. Wish that the bulbs were more prone to malfunction. Other than that my order was kind of ok.

This was a great product that met my expectation.

Ok. So if you're a first time reptile parent make sure you read the description carefully. Some reptiles will need the tropical kit and some the dessert kit. This doesn't come with accesories or decorations. You have to buy your feeding bowls, hideouts, dome and decor separately. It just has the neccesary things to start up your habitat. I have a baby lepard gecko and got the dessert kit which came with the tank and lid, two lamps, thermometer and floor mat. I ordered everything else he needs for his little habitat and waiting on delivery. Temporarily using a jar lid for his water bowl, an empty toilet paper roll for his hideout. The starter kit was great. It has everything needed to start with and it arrived fast and in great quality. Overall a great purchase.

The tank is constructed very well! Putting it all together was simple. The Gecko is loving his new room! The cost to value ratio is great for what you’re getting!… except the bulbs. We’ve had this two days. Not even two full days and the day time bulb burned out. I understand bulbs don’t last long but this arrived on Tuesday evening and the day time bulb burned out when I went to turn it on Thursday morning. If you DO decide to purchase this nice bit of kit, which is very worth the cost, buy some replacement bulbs. You’re going to need them pretty quick!

I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The tank is perfect sized for our little baby turtle Potato. Now as she gets bigger we will need to upgrade but this is an excellent starter tank foe any small reptile. The two lamps work perfect and the ford's are very long. The only thing that doesn't really work is the thermostat/humidity ready. Which is fine I didn't really expect it too considering the quality of it. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone starting out. This is not for fish as you can see in the picture the glue along the seams.

I received the terrarium yesterday evening and this morning the basking light bulb has already blown out. I had to order better quality lights. Another thing that I don’t like is that the light fixtures can only use up to 60 watt light bulbs, and the 50 watt basking bulb that came with this terrarium did not maintain the proper temperature inside the terrarium for my baby beardie in the short time it lasted. The temperature only went up to 80 degrees. I had to stick a heat pad on the side of the terrarium in the meantime. I’m waiting for the decor I ordered to go inside of it.

I purchased the desert setup for my teenage nephew for his Leopard Gecko. It was quick to put together and we are happy with the quality. Also purchased a warm heating mat for under the cage and only use the night heating lamp, the white light seems to be harsh on the gecko's eyes. Amazon has great hiding cave rocks we bought and put in the cage as well and the gecko loves it especially when he is shedding with a very soft moist paper towel on the floor of the cave. This was a great buy.

Perfect starter tank for hatchling ball python's. Its small enough that the snake isn't stressed. And after the snake is moved to the larger enclosure, you have an extra tank which is the perfect excuse for a new pet.
