Not the quality I expected - BUT Amazon helped fix my concerns
I found this table with my husband after searching and searching the internet. Because I am a wounded Vet, going out to stores is a limited activity for me and buying online has become a common (tho still scary) practice for most of our goods. We are still newly weds with four kids between us, ranging from 3 to 14, and have his parents coming in for our second Christmas together and wanted to have our first formal dining table that we could all sit at and enjoy Christmas dinner together (instead of how our first Christmas went last year with my husband and the baby sitting on the kitchen floor and the rest in the other room at the broke down table I got off craigslist). As you may have guessed, $1,999.95 (roughly) is a lot of money for a family of six and after we bought the table, Amazon dropped the price by $195.00. While they do not have an after the fact price clause, the were nice enough to give me the difference. Price dropping aside, the table arrives in a DAMAGED box (I took pictures) and then after pulling out the pieces (we only received two chairs and table legs yesterday) THE TABLE LEGS ARE BLEMISHED ALL OVER AND ONE EVEN HAS A HOLE AT THE TOP! And one of the chairs has a swipe of gold paint where it obviously does not belong! I'm very very very upset and I feel the quality is beyond poor. OH and the seats are awfully uncomfortable. I feel like my Christmas dream of a beautiful table to enjoy with my in-laws and children has been dashed upon rocks. I'm going to return it and I don't know what we will do for Christmas - maybe a dang card table for the kids until we find something else. (BTW I took pictures of all this but no way to upload them here) ******************************UPDATE 30 NOVEMBER 2012****************************************************************** After calling Amazon, a WONDERFUL representative in large items (Carolyn) listened to my concerns and frustrations and seemed to actually care. She said she would expidite my refund so I can find another table in time for Christmas. Unfortunately the table will not work out, but I WILL REMAIN A LOYAL AMAZON CUSTOMER because of their service!

good product. missing parts.
The dining set looks great. The structure is strong. The parts for an arm chair is for side chair, i.e. missing bolts, washers and screws for installing the arm. I had to buy the parts to install the arm. Besides, the packaging needs improvement.
