Let me just jump out the gate and say this was the simplest installation ever! The youtube installation video they provide made it so easy, ive had previous dash cams before but always had a wire hanging and I always wanted to get one professionally installed so you couldn’t see the wires, this gives it a complete OEM look. Front camera video quality is solid, rear camera is good but not as good as the front I believe rear is 1080p still good but as photographer i have a tendency to pixel peep. Anyways best purchase for my rav4

I already owned a Fitcamx front camera AND gave one as a Christmas gift. But after an accident getting hit in the side, we felt we should add a rear camera. (At first hubby did not want to wire in one). But this camera was super easy to install and just as easy to hook up to the app. I really like that no one can tell you even have one. I would recommend this and would buy again.

Finally got this operating smoothly. Looks like a factory installed device. Does NOT do continuous recording of your vehicle's driving. Has 1 or 3 minute options that come standard. Had to HUNT through the online Q&A to discover HOW to install this so it starts recording and STAYS recording every time you start the vehicle. Otherwise what good is it? So many devices like this seem to offer short recording modes. Continuous recording is not made easy with any manufacturer. Had to buy Fitcamx' OBD connector (sold separately) which has a physical 24 hour mode switch built into it. It works great. I fail to understand why this CRITICAL feature is hidden and obscured. Fitcamx' "marketing" department gets an "F" for hiding this critical feature. Because of the hassle I went through to identify and install this feature the rating should only be 3 stars. But since it works perfectly, and since no other manufacturers of dash cams are making this feature readily identifiable (they all get "F"s) I am reluctantly giving Fitcamx 5 tars.

Would I purchase is again? No! Cons: The main pitfall of this camera is that it randomly stops recording to sd card and require to format it before it can start to work. There is no any clear indication if dashcam has issues and there is no any screen so the only way to get know if it is record is to check app EVERY time you drive. This is annoying as hell. For the last 6 months I'm using it I was never be able to access a video clip of my interest, every time the dashcam was not recording for some reason. I have purchased and installed new SD card and the problem looks like happening less often but this is design failure - no any good visual indication that camera doesn't record. 64GB is small, especially for recording two HD cameras, fits probably around 4 hours, 128GB works but app becomes extremely slow. Pros: It is discreet. Installation was simple. I have passed rear cam behind airbags instead of in front as they show in their setup videos. Quality of video is fine.

I’ve owned several dashcams in the past and this product is one of the cleanest appearance dashcam I’ve ever used. I wanted a camera that was not only was sleek but also not too obvious. I’ve had this since early January and so far I haven’t had any issues with the actual camera. One thing to note is that I ended up using a different microsd from a reputable company after hearing horror stories of the microsd that comes with this camera. I will update this review if an issue occurs down the line.

It took two attempts to get the right product for my vehicle, including emailing the manufacturer. Then, I hired a professional installer so as not to have difficulty. Probably could have done it myself, thanks to the online video instructions, but the pro removed part of the header to prevent bending or creasing it when running the cable for the rear camera. Incredibly clear and beautiful video, 4k front & 1080p rear. System itself is fully assembled. Instruction manual seemed not to mention the location of the SD card port, nor instructions on how to use it, but a few searches on YouTube provided the answers. I don't drive as much but filled the 128GB micro SD in two weeks and earlier videos were overwritten.

I bought the FITCAM X front and rear dash camera based on high recommendations from other Venza owners in a Facebook group. Everyone loved how it looked factory-installed, which was exactly what I wanted. I went to a reputable company that specializes in dash cam installations to make sure everything was installed properly, with no visible wires and nothing interfering with the airbags. However, less than a day after the installation, my car started going crazy—constant beeping and alerts popping up on the screen (see photos). I was TERRIFIED that something had gone wrong with my brand-new car. At first, I blamed the installers, but they insisted it wasn’t their fault, and they were right. It turns out I had received the wrong type of camera, which caused my car to malfunction. After returning the unit and getting a replacement, the new camera worked flawlessly. The initial issue was entirely due to a faulty unit. (See photos of comparison between the first faulty unit with gray clips and the correct one with white clips) Keep in mind, I reordered the exact same dash cam, from same seller and link, so it was not an error on my part with ordering the wrong type. I’m leaving this review to warn others: if you encounter similar issues, double-check your camera unit. If you receive the right one, this dash cam is fantastic and looks like it came with the car! Just be mindful if you experience any error messages—it might be a faulty unit, as was the case for me.
