TAZO Zen Green Enveloped Hot Tea Bags Non GMO, 24 count, Pack of 6

I'm a fan of green tea while at work and often I'm just not in the mood to fiddle with infusers, paper bags, or the (admittedly minor) cleanup required for loose-leaf tea. If I'm in a hurry I'll gladly grab a bag of Tazo Zen and infuse a cup in my Thermos mug. Some boxes I received came with incorrect instructions to use boiling (212 degree) water for this tea, but I strongly recommend against that. Green tea can get bitter quickly if water is too hot or it's brewed for too long. Instead I pour 180 degree water over a bag and try to steep for no longer than 4mins. Additional orders of this tea came in the box as pictured in the product details which correctly list the temperature and time required to make a perfect cup. I love the taste of this so much that I've started buying loose leaf ingredients and trying to create a similar blend for a bit less money, but getting the correct mint proportions is such a fine balance.

I love this tea but I think it gives me a headache so I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as I'd like. I used to buy it at Starbucks (a tine of the tea bags) but they stopped carrying Tazo. They use a similar tea for their shaken iced green tea and I really like that. I drink this tea both hot and as iced tea (and save a few bucks by making it myself though sometimes it's just fun to order a cup).

I prefer the Tazo Zen as an iced tea...a perfect substitute for Starbucks Shaken Green Iced Tea and WAY cheaper - I actually brew it daily at work with my Hamilton Beach 40916 Iced Tea Brewer that I also got on Amazon!!!! The description doesn't lie...it IS "a harmonious blend of green tea with lemongrass and spearmint" - Love LOVE love it!!!

I've been searching (mostly in vain) for the original Tazo Zen Green Tea. I don't like Tazo Regenerative Green Tea, because it tastes bitter. This is the original and I like it a lot.

This is perfect tea for for every day any time of the day! Very soothing, and relaxing like the name "ZEN". I love the combination of green tea and mint together. It's very mild and doesn't get bitter even if you left the bag in for too long. I highly recommend this tea!

I have a cup of tea each morning to start my day. It's the best tea I have ever had. I tried so many of them and settled for this brand of Lemongrass and Spearmint. It it not overwhelmingly strong. It's a perfect smooth blend of Lemongrass and Spearmint.

I bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer b/c he LOVES the one pictured here - "Zen 'The Vert.'" What showed up at our door is different - it still says "Zen" but it's not "The Vert." From looking at the description, the difference is the "The Vert" has green tea, spearmint, lemon verbena, & lemongrass. The tea that showed up only lists "green tea, spearmint, & lemongrass" on the label. I hope he likes it, but thought I'd warn others.... ***Update - so, once he opened the box for Christmas, the individual packets do say "The Vert" so this is the correct tea...not sure why the box left that off...

This is probably more my fault but I was expecting to get the same tea I get at the stores when I order - theirs is a full leaf tea in a filter pack, but it comes out of a tin can. Tazo teas are good even if it's the tea shavings that they have in this one, but it would be nice if they would be more clear. This is also cheaper (about half the price per bag). I had the Zen and it's a great afternoon or evening tea as it doesn't have much caffeine. It would be nice if this was a mix and match type of thing as their price is exactly the same as Starbucks's website but live and learn.
