Question 1

This is a 5 piece kit but nowhere does is state what those 5 pieces are. What are they?

Accepted Answer

It says what is included in the product description. Product DescriptionThe Rubbermaid 5J91 Fast Track 5 Piece All in One Kit is a great way to organize your garage. With the FastTrack kit, you can get the items in your garage off the floor and onto the wall, creating more space to work and play. The 5J91 kit contains 1 - 32-inch Hanging rail, 1 - Handle Hook, 2 - Scoop Hooks, and 1 - Multi Purpose Hook. The FastTrack system is very easy and fast to install. The kit comes with all of the hardware you need and the predrilled holes on the rail are designed to fit 16-inch or 24-inch studs for sturdy and secure installation.

Question 2

Will this system work if there is 24" in between studs? I am only wanting to hold up about 20 lbs, not the max of 1750.

Accepted Answer

yes. I have put up many lengths of Rubbermaid's FT in a large garage ..including this one and each was terrific. Have everything from rakes, brooms, chain saws, weedwhackers hanging from them.

Question 3

Would this work to organize items in a horse trailer? I am wondering if the movement when driving will cause the hooks to slide around on the track?

Accepted Answer

There is two styles of hooks: Latch release and pressure clamp style. Latch release hooks slide pretty easy from side to side if there is no weight on them. However if you put even a little weight on the hooks then they are solid. You can increase the grip by getting some self adhesive rubber seal from any hardware store and attach it to the lower portion of the flat part of the hook that touches the wall. I used the one inch wide flat rubber seal for sealing speakers in an enclosure. I original did this so it would not rub silver on to the white paint on the wall when you bumped the hooks when removing the items hanging. Side benefit is the hooks don't slide even when they are unloaded.Pressure clamp hooks, are held in place by the design of the hook. You set them on to the track and push down. They lock in to place with force and will not move at all, loaded or unloaded.

Question 4

Does the tool hanging kit ($63) come with two rails or one?

Accepted Answer
