Clean eeeeerrrrrrrrr
It took forever and a day washing this sand using a basin ... and of course when fish are actually digging in this SAND...it still creates a fog ..so your TANK STILL ENDS UP LOOKING CRAP....I'm going back to gravel at least it leaves water clean even when fish have dug it up ..it stays CLEAN ,, IM FUMING

I wasn't sure how long to wash this out, reviews didn't specify, but I washed it out with hot water for about 45 minutes to an hour, let it sit overnight in treated water, and rinsed it out again for about 15 minutes the next day, just to be safe, before placing it in my Danio 20-gallon tank and adding my Danios back in maybe 10 minutes after filling the tank back up. I've had it for about a week and haven't noticed any issues in my fish. They seem to really love it, they're much more active and love sifting through it. I love the texture and color, it looks and feels like sand from the beach! My tank looks much more beautiful now, I can't wait to get some more plants to add to it. 100% recommend to anyone looking to switch from gravel to sand, like me, or anyone that likes to use sand as a substrate. It's a bit pricey for how much you're getting and I wish it was maybe $10 cheaper, but I think it's well worth it in quality. Definitely buying another bag for my 10-gallon Betta tank.

This sand is gorgeous. It's comprised of jewel-like red particles with some darker ones to balance it out. It is a little bit coarse/sharp, so it might be irritating to animals with extremely delicate skin, but the particles aren't large enough to pose an impaction risk. An upside of the particle size is that it's very easy to rinse the dust off! I actually mixed this with another, finer sand- "Aqua Natural Iwagumi Sand - Garnet" and it created a very interesting effect.

11 lbs of gorgeous white sand for your aquariums. It can just be poured in , no need to clean it. It’s ready to aquascape .. There’s so many decorative things that you can do with sand. Bring nature into your space and give your fish beautiful sand , it can be used in saltwater as well as freshwater and you can even use it for craft ideas, shadow boxes and beach scenes. The bag is resealable, so it’s easy to save , it’s always good to have on hand in case you need to aquascape at 2am and all the stores are closed, besides this is a better value than most stores will give you. 11 lbs is a pretty decent amount of sand for most aquariums..

Very small bag, at a high cost. A bit deceiving. I hv bought the same quality at a cheaper rate. Expensive.
