I've installed a few dozen of these over the last three years in high security facilities that see an average of 300 activation per day. Their real observed MTBF are are around 100,000 activation's. (they last about a year for my use, then the spring falls out of its mounting bracket, resulting in a short term, non-MO switch, giving me enough time to get out there and swap them out before they fail entirely). Sure, you could by a POS switch that costs $10, but from experience, they all fail very quickly compared this RC unit. If you need a commercial solution that sees high activation levels, then this is definitely the way to go (or must have high reliability with low activation...still the way to go!)
