The difference between them is that the RS3M 2021 MagLev utilized a MagLev Position System which could reduce spring noise and increase your cubing speed. It is better than the old version (RS3M 2020).

Hello. Dimensions of the MagLev magnets: Outside diameter: 8.8mm Inside diameter: 4.8mm However, I believe that this doesn't matter because the size would not affect the magnetic strength. The magnetic strength of the MagLev magnets are at the highest level in speed cubing magnets so rest assured about the magnetic strength. The MagLev system is well-designed and it should be fine.
