Anyone have safety issues with this toy? My cats love it but I'm afraid of them getting accidentally poked in the eye.

This is a cat safe toy. Interactive toys that contain strings or wires need to be used during your playtime with your cat. You and your cat should play with this toy, then you should put it away until next time.

Will this get the attention of a less active cat? He was sustained for about 1 minute with laser pointer. He will "attack" his toy bird, too.

My 17 year old cat who is very sedentary wakes up the minute he sees it and plays for about 15 minutes at a time.

Why does it say “made in usa” and “country of origin: china”?

The Cat Dancer toys are MADE IN USA. I contacted Cat Dancer directly. What happened is they have alternative packaging printed in Japanese characters to sell in Japan. Somehow, that image became displayed on the American Amazon webpage; and, long story short, resulted in the country of origin listed on Amazon's page switching to say China. THE PRODUCT IS INDEED MADE IN THE USA.

One is described as 30"; for another one, no length is specified. Well, which is longer?
